Conquer Club

This is a Tournament Players Association Year 2(TPA2) event, and is governed by its rules, guidelines, and judgments. All are welcome to join and participate in the association. You need do nothing more than join one or more of the TPA2 events that will be announced each Monday. It’s that wonderful time of the year again, when students take their last finals and leave town to go on vacations with their family and friends. This year, book your travel plans with your travel agent, [player]Night Strike[/player], to your dream destination.

This is a Premier event for TPA2, so I need 72 players to register for summer vacations.
Booking charges do apply, so you must hold a premium account.

Round 1: Semester Finals (72 players)

It’s finals time here at Conquer Club University. Random.org will assign players into 6-person classes. Each class gives 1 final, and the students only get 1 shot at it. Players will be assigned grades according to the order they finish (A, B, C, D, F, Slept Through It). This year, you must get a B or better to pass the class, so only the Top 2 from each class will advance.

Round 2: Summer Travels (24 players)

School’s Out!!! Now it’s vacation time. Random.org will assign players into 4 divisions of 6 players each. Everyone will play a game on their chosen vacation destination, as well as the destination of everyone else in their division. This year we have a few new destinations that are booking.

*Note: You may change ONE setting for your trip when registering.
*Note: This tournament round will have a 30 game round limit.

Points will be awarded to each participant based on finish. 0 points for last through 6 points for 1st (# 5 is skipped). The top scorers from each division will advance to the finals along with two wildcard players who finish with the most points but don’t win their division. If there is a tie, those who tied will play a Classic, Escalating, Adjacent, Sunny with the winner advancing.

Round 3: Relaxing on the Beach (6 players)

Summer vacation would not be complete without a trip to the beach. The 6 finalists will have a “restful” trip to the beautiful beach at Cairns Coral Coast. It’s a short trip, so you have to make the most of your 1 day (game) there. The winner of the game will be recognized as having the best summer vacation.

Tournament Notes:

• All games will be Standard, Sequential, Automatic, and without Trench
  
• Your travel destination MUST be included with your tournament registration. (i.e. You plan your vacation before you find out whether or not you passed your class.) Failure to do so will place you on the reserve list until it is provided.
• You have 48 hours to join each game. You will get 1 reminder before being replaced.
• Alliances of any kind (aside from attacking the obvious leader) are not allowed.
• All games in Round 2 will have a 30 Round Limit. The remaining tournament points will be divided evenly among the remaining players by whole numbers with any leftover points going to the round limit winner (i.e. 3 players are left at the round limit, so they split 6+4+3=13 points, so each player gets 4 points with the winner getting an extra point to total 5).
• Round 1 can advance once all games are down to the final 2; the Final Round will last until a winner is determined.
