Hello. Welcome to the relatively new series that I started called King of the Countries. I got the idea after finishing my first, and only, tournament, King of Greece. This series features tournaments on every country possible and with every type of game, standard, doubles, 1 vs 1, speed, etc. To start, I decided to go with N. America. After a standard tournament has been completed on all 3 countries in N. America, I'll switch up the game type so there won't be a ton of standard tournaments in a row. Canada is going on right now. This tournament will be played on USA. Each tournament will be available for freemiums as well as premiums, as only 1 game will be played at a time. This does not include the speed tournaments, of course.
The set-up for the first 3 tournaments will be the same. It will consist of 10 rounds total. There will be a 50 round limit on every round to prevent stalemates. The 10 rounds will go as follows...
Round 1 will include 10 3-player standard games on USA with the following settings: auto, seq., flat rate, unlimited, no specialty with the 50 round limit. I will use random.org in order to set up these games. This round will be used to seed everybody. The winners of this round will be seeded 1-10 based on how many rounds it took to win. The player who won in the least amount of rounds will be seeded 1. If more than 1 person finished in the same amount of rounds, whoever won first will be the better seed. Whoever came in second will be 11-20. Whoever lasted the most rounds will be 11, second most rounds 12, etc. If multiple people lasted the same amount of rounds, whoevers game ended first will be the worse seed. Whoever came in last will be 21-30 based on the same way used for 11-20.

Round 2 will include 7 4-player standard games. Seeds 1 and 2 will get byes. The 7 games will be 3 vs 30 vs 16 vs 17.....4 vs 29 vs 15 vs 18.....5 vs 28 vs 14 vs 19.....6 vs 27 vs 13 vs 20.....7 vs 26 vs 12 vs 21.....8 vs 25 vs 11 vs 22.....9 vs 24 vs 10 vs 23. Each game will be on USA with the 50 round limit using the highest seed's favorite settings. The top 2 players from each game will move on and the others will be eliminated. This leaves 16 remaining players.

Round 3 will include 4 4-player standard games. Everyone will be reseeded to the next best seed based on who lost. For example, if seeds 4, 5, and 6 lost, seed 7 would now become 4, 8 would be 5, and 9 would be 6 if 7, 8, and 9 won. The games will be 1 vs 8 vs 9 vs 16.....2 vs 7 vs 10 vs 15.....3 vs 6 vs 11 vs 14.....4 vs 5 vs 12 vs 13. Again, each game will be played on USA with the 50 round limit using the highest seed's favorite settings.

Round 4 will include 4 3-player standard games. The winners from the last round will get a bye. Using the same system as last round, reseeding based on who has the bye. Again, if 5 and 6 won and have a bye, 7 will be 5 and 8 will be 6 providing 7 and 8 lost. The games will be 1 vs 12 vs 8.....2 vs 11 vs 7.....3 vs 10 vs 6.....4 vs 9 vs 5. These games will be played on USA with the 50 round limit using the best seed's favorite settings. Winners will advance, losers will be eliminated.

Round 5 will include 1 8-player standard game on USA with the 50 round limit and the same settings used in round 1. This will be used to reseed everybody. Winner will be seed 1, second place is seed 2, third place is seed 3, etc.

Round 6 will include 2 4-player standard games. The games will be 1 vs 8 vs 4 vs 5 and 2 vs 7 vs 3 vs 6. These will be played on USA with the 50 round limit using the highest seed's favorite settings.

Round 7 will include 2 3-player standard games. The winners from last round will get a bye and the same reseeding process used in round 4 will be used. The games will be 1 vs 6 vs 4 and 2 vs 5 vs 3. Winners will move on and the losers will be eliminated. These will be played on USA with the 50 round limit using the highest seed's favorite settings.

Round 8 will include a 4-player standard game on USA with the 50 round limit using the settings from round 1. Seeds will no longer be used.

Round 9 will include a 3-player standard game. The winner of last round will get a bye to the finals. This game will be on USA with the 50 round limit using the settings from round 1. The player who comes in last will be eliminated.

Round 10 will be a 3-player standard game. Again this will be played on USA with the 50 round limit. The settings will be 1 game with each of the final 3's preffered settings (If nobody wins 2 games, there will be 3 more). This championship match will decide the winner of King of the Countries-USA.

Canada (standard)-Ongoing [16/30]
Mexico (standard)-Ongoing [16/30]
Canada (terminator)-Being created
Please let me know of any suggestions as I hope to only better this tournament series. If you wish to join, please post so and give settings for if you ever get settings advantage. Most importantly, I hope that everyone who joins has fun. I will keep track of the winners for future tournaments in this series. Please, enjoy and again, have fun.
