Check back on the TPA2 scoreboard in the Tournaments--> General Info forum to see how you're doing.

When signing up, please state which group you would prefer to play in. Pick one in Stage 1, one in Stage 2 and one in Stage 3. Those with the most points when advancing to the next stage will get their first choice in groups in the new stage.

All games will be:
Doubles
Automatic
Sequential
No Spoils
Chained reinforcements
Fog of war on
& a round limit of 30 rounds

Stage 1: We will start off with 32 teams divided into 8 groups. Each group will play a round-robin where each team faces every other team four times on four different maps. That's 12 games for each team, and the two best teams in each group advance to the next stage. I will send the games out one at a time, every two or three days. I will allow non-premiums to join, but you will need at least two spots free, preferably more. If the game-count from this tournament gets higher than that we will wait for the games to finish.

[spoiler=stage 1]We have 8 groups with four different maps in each one. Please choose which group you want to start in.

Nice set-up, and I'd play if it was anything else but no spoils and a 100 round limit. You think this is a realistic set-up to finish within a year?

Oh dear, I missed those two settings. There's no way they will finish or be worth playing, especially if freemiums are involved.

Seriously. You guys know that 1v1 or 2v2 or 3v3 no spoils finishes well within those limits. There is much less reason to sit and build in a two player/team games as those stacks just get hit hard.

Go look at the finished 2v2 no spoils games. Most finish in less than 10 rounds. I found 2 that lasted 20 or more rounds and only 1 that reached round 30 (went back over the 4-5 most recent pages of 2v2 finished games. Admittedly I scanned and could have missed one)

I agree here. No spoils doubles will end.

This was what I was thinking as well. I only added the time limit just in case a game stalled somehow.
But I can reduce the time-limit to 30 rounds. I still doubt it would come in to play, though.
