I got a pretty cool gift this Christmas called History over time puzzle: London. Basically, you have a couple of puzzle maps. The London one starts in 1078 with a map of the city in that year. Then you build a modern map of London over top the old map to sort of see how things developed over time. Then there are 3d skyscraper pieces to place on top of the modern map. For example I have a tower of London piece (not a skyscraper, but still..) and I have the London eye as well to add on. The dea is to add them in Chronological order and learn a little something about that special city you love.
So far I've seen London, Paris, Berlin, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Sydney, NYC, Chicago, Washington and Las Vegas. I've got the London map, and cracked it open today, but did not get very far. I'm already planning on trying to use my Risk soldiers and such to play the map as a game. We'll see how that goes.
Anyone ever seen these before or even assembled one?

Looks nice. Never done a 3D puzzle before. When you have it done, can you post some detailed photos.
How many pieces in the London map? and what is the backing for the bottom two layers, Foam or card?

The bottomlayer is like your standard card puzzle pieces. Then the modern map is foam backed pieces and then the towers are plastic.
I will sure post some pics when I've finished.

This looks quite interesting, but they seem to be out of stock of the Toronto map.
