Welcome to what will be my 24th tournament! In this tournament, I will accept freemium and premiums. However, freemiums will need to keep three slots open at first, and then for the rest of the tourney only one slot. I will accept 42 players for this tournament.
Most games will be Sequential, sunny, escalating, automatic, and chained. Sometimes games will have round limits. If a round is to have a different setting, it shall be listed.
At the start of the contest, each player will have $10. Throughout the tournament, players will wager their money against each other in many different competitions. When a player is out of money, they are out of the tournament. At the end of the tournament, 1 player will control all of the money, and be crowned the champion. (The tournament works similarly to the way a poker tournament works, hence the name).
There will be 1v1 games, 4,6, 7, and 8 player standard games, terminator games, assassin games, doubles, triples, and quads. Partners and opponents shall be randomly chosen each round. The tourney shall progress as follows:
show
Round 1: 7 player Standard battle on the Classic map. Buy-in: $2 Round 2: Triples battle on Montreal. Buy-in: $2 Round 3: Quads on World 2.1 Buy-in: $3 Round 4: 6 Player Terminator on Midgard Buy-in: $3 (With terminator games, players will take other player's buy-ins when they eliminate them) After Round 4, players who haven't won any competitions will be completely out of money. Since the amount of remaining players is impossible to predict, players will get occasionally get byes. This won't be an advantage or a disadvantage, since players on byes won't be able to win or lose any money. Also, if a player has less money than a buy-in is worth, they will only be able to win the amount of money they currently have from the other players. If there's a team game, all players will only be liable for the amount in which the poorest player has. Round 5: 4-6 Player Standard games on Doodle Earth Buy-in: $3 Round 6: 1v1 games on Arms Race! Buy-in: $4 Round 7: Doubles on USA Rockies Buy-in: $5 Round 8: Assassin on Space (Games will have 4-6 players) Buy-in: $3 Round 9: 5-8 Players Standard game on Quad Cities (20 Round Limit) Buy-in: $3 Round 10: 4-6 Player Terminator on Malta Buy-in: $4 Round 11: Triples on Atlantis Buy-in: $7 Round 12: 6-8 Player Standard game on North America Buy-in: $4 Round 13: 4-6 Player Standard game on Middle East Buy-in: $4 Round 14: 4-6 Player Assassin on France Buy-in: $4 Round 15: 1v1 on City Mogul, Foggy. Buy-in: $10 Round 16: 4-6 Player Standard game on Greenland Buy-in: $5 Round 17: 1v1 on Doodle Earth Buy-in: $12 Round 18: 4-6 Player Assassin on Italy Buy-in: $6 Round 19: 6-8 Player Standard game on Europa Buy-in: $7 Round 20: 4-6 Player Assassin on Balkan Peninsula Buy-in: $8 Round 21: 6-8 Player Standard on American Civil War Buy-in: $9 Round 22: 4-6 Player Standard on Haiti Buy-in: $10 Round 23: 4-6 Player Standard on Brazil Buy-in: $11 Round 24: 1v1 on King's Court, Foggy, 20 Round Limit Buy-in: $50 Round 25: 1v1 on Poker Club, Foggy, 20 Round Limit Buy-in: $75 Round 26: 4-6 Player Standard Game on Classic Buy-in: $50 Round 27: 4-6 Player Standard Game on Macedonia Buy-in: $75 Round 28: 4-6 Player Standard Game on Soviet Union Buy-in: $100 Round 29: 4-6 Player Standard Game on Japan Buy-in: $125 Round 30: 4-6 Player Standard Game on Classic: Buy-in: $150 The Classic games will continue, since any one of those games could end the tournament.
Realistically, I'd expect this tournament to end somewhere from Round 22-27, however I'd expect most people to be eliminated by Round 10-15. Its tough to predict these kinds of things, which is why I posted so many potential rounds.
If you have any questions, or you want in, please post on this thread!
Also, this tourney is a larger version of a tournament I'm almost finish running, if you wanna check that out:
