NOTE: I made the Greater China games Foggy. All the others are Sunny. This is compensation for the mistake I made in Phase 6, where all the games should have been foggy and I made the Mongol games sunny. So it's a direct 1-for-1 swap and we're back on track.
ANOTHER NOTE: Remember that this is a DOUBLE ELIMINATION ROUND! There will be 14 players eliminated after Phase 7 instead of just 7. So, if you haven't quite brought your best skills to the table last few rounds, now is the time that you have to do it!

I will be away from Sep 18th to Sep 24th. I doubt if any major issues will come up, but just in case, you can treat Pandemonium as TO and pester him with your concerns.

Nov. 30th: Due to CC's technical difficulties earlier this evening, about 4 hours of logs were lost. If you scored a kill during that time it might not be properly credited. Please post in the thread IMMEDIATELY if you scored a kill and it didn't show up in the log, so that I or Pandemonium can look at the evidence while it is still fresh.

This is a Tournament Players Association Year 2(TPA2) event, and is governed by its rules, guidelines, and judgments. All are welcome to join and participate in the association. You need do nothing more than join one or more of the TPA2 events that will be announced each Monday. Check back on the TPA2 scoreboard in the Tournaments--> General Info forum to see how you're doing.
As a high-level operative of the Guojia Anquan Bu, or Chinese (Communist) Secret Police, you have set out to terminate as many enemies of the Chinese state as possible.
Eligibility: To join this tournament, you must have Premium membership. Pursuant to TPA rules, there are no other entry restrictions.
Game Load: You will play five games simultaneously in each phase, except for the very last phase, which will be seven games. You will have at least 48 hours to accept each game (two invites.) If you fail to accept two consecutive invites, you may be arbitrarily cut. I reserve the right to evaluate reasonable excuses.
Settings in ALL games: 7-player, Automatic, Sequential, Escalating, Chained, Casual, Terminator.
Odd-numbered phases will be Sunny and even-numbered phases will be Foggy.
Maps: see list of phases in Post 2.
This tournament is intended for at least 70 players. However, I am leaving it unlimited. Any multiple of 7 can be accomodated. If there are a lot more sign-ups it can easily be expanded. If there are fewer than 70 sign-ups (and I hope this is purely hypothetical) it can still be made to work by cutting some rounds.
Scoring:
1 point per kill.
3 points per win.
2 bonus points for a little sweep (killing at least 3 opponents on the same turn.)
3 additional bonus points for a perfect sweep (killing all 6 opponents on the same turn.)
All the above are cumulative, so a perfect sweep results in a final score of 14 (6 for six kills, 3 for the win, 2 for the little sweep and 3 more for completing the sweep.)
Scores are cumulative from phase to phase. After every phase, at least 7 players will be cut, based on the lowest cumulative score. If the tournament begins with more than 70 players, there will be more than seven cut in the earlier phases.
[spoiler=seeding]Seeding: Players will be seeded into games by their current score, checked as closely as I can manage to the time that I actually make games. Thus you will be playing those who are fairly close to you in rank, and this should minimize the effect of people targetting high ranks in Terminator. I hope this entices some really high-level players into this tourney! I will re-check scores before every phase so drastic point swings during the course of the tourney will be reflected in your positioning. Of course, as the tournament continues and there are fewer players in total, there will be more of a spread in the ranks of players in each game.[/spoiler]
[spoiler=tiebreaks]In case there are multiple players with a score at the threshold for being cut, the following tiebreaking rules will apply (in order):
1. Total wins
2. Total kills
3. head-to-head wins (B has won a game with A in it, but A has not won a game with B in it. B stays, A is gone.)
4. head-to-head kills (B has killed A 3 times, but A has only killed B once. B stays, A is gone.)
5. Precedence (first player to have signed up for the tourney stays, later player is gone.)[/spoiler]
[spoiler=reserves and re-entries]Any vacancies in the first round will be filled from the reserves list. After the first round, any further vacancies, resignations, disappearances, etc., will be filled by re-admitting players who were cut in the previous round.
Because this will often occur after games have been set, this may occassionally disrupt the seeding and result in a player playing in a game with players that are radically higher or lower in their score.[/spoiler]
