Three player Maps

I would like to know what are your thoughts on smaller (27-33 territory) maps designed for 3 players.
I have several that are table tested and would make for a good, quick game. The trick is in the balance of continents and values but all those could be worked out here.

three player games are great on medium- large maps, lots of fun pileing up troops in one place

I like small maps a lot, especially with 3 players.

Where's a quick redraw I did using 'Paint.' I know it's not the right format...
Also, the map was done for table play by taping two 8.5x11 papers together and so doesn't quite look right for CC play.
--
Arakis is too far South and should be farther from
Ankel.
--
Lizele should be farther East of Mentara.
--
Vorlon should be more round and less sandwiched along the map edge.
--Welshra is too far North.
--Also there should be a line of communication from Cintak in Arakis to Iman in Vorlon. (Actually you can attack that way on the table version and it works well, keeping Telume/Iman from becoming black holes.)
** 27 Territories, 5 Continents, 15 Bonus Armies.
** The paint circles aren't territories and are only to help identify the continents.
** The black and brown lines are cliffs or mountains and impassable. Gamalon and Lapan are not connected in the North and Chilk only borders Emada in the South.

Here's another, this one is for two players.
Cities (Red circles) are worth +2 armies each.
There are no continent bonuses.
2 territories = 1 army bonus
Rivers are not fordable and may only be crossed at cities.
Each city garrisons 5 neutral armies, each territory has 3.
Players start in random corners with 20 armies, marked 1/2.
