in other words, this.Close() calls the method Close() in it's own class.

Oh. Well in my basic knowledge of ++, it looked like you had a class variable named "this", which doesn't make much sense.

That's true in most languages, but I think C++ does it differently. I can't remember though - I've repressed all knowledge of that horrendous thing.
