Welcome to the I. G. K. Tournament II!
Premium only (7 games at once in Round 1) and at least 97% attendance please.
This will follow a similar format to its predecessor, which included all the maps beginning with I, G and K.
Since that tournament began two more maps beginning with G and one more beginning with I have been created, so the format has been adjusted slightly.
All games will be 6-player:
Standard
Automatic
Sequential
Escalating
Chained
No Fog
For each game the following points will be awarded:
1st: 8 points
2nd: 5 points
3rd: 3 points
4th: 2 points
5th: 1 point
6th: 0 points
Round 1
54 players will be split into 9 groups of 6
Each group will play the 7 maps beginning with I: Iberia, Iceland, Imperium Romanum, Indian Empire, Indochina, Ireland and Italy
Points will be awarded (see above) and after all 7 games the top two players in each group will go through to Round 2.
Round 2
18 players will be split into 3 groups of 6
Each group will play the 5 maps beginning with G: Germany, Gilgamesh, Great Lakes, Greater China and Greenland
Points will be awarded again (points are carried over from Round 1) and after all 5 games the top two players in each group will go through to the Grand Final.
Grand Final
6 players will play 1 game on the K map: King of the Mountains
The winner of this game (regardless of points) will be declared the winner of the tournament!
I will use the invite method to send out games. Any players who don't join their games within 3 invitations will be replaced.

In Round 1 any players who do not show up will be replaced by using the Reserve List.
In Round 2 any gaps will be filled by the highest-scoring player in Round 1 who is not already through.
In the Grand Final any gaps will be filled in a similar way to Round 2.

If two or more players finish Round 1 with the same amount of points, the player with the highest finishing position (e.g. most wins etc.) will go through. Failing that, they will play a best of 7 on the maps again.
If there is a tie in Round 2, the player who scored the most points in that round will go through. If it is still a tie, the same method as Round 1 will be used.

In Round 1 all groups will be decided using random.org. In Round 2 they will also be decided by using random.org but it will be ensured that you will not have faced any of your opponents in Round 1, unless a reserve is called upon. Please be prepared to ignore foe lists in order for this to happen.
