US Must Use Nuclear Weapons Against Oil Spill

As you may have heard, Britons running the British company British Petroleum recently polluted the Gulf of Mexico.
All worthwhile scientists now believe a tactic innovated by the former Soviet Union's Nuclear Peace Forces may help the United States clean-up the devastating mess left by British Petroleum.
A small atomic device detonated on the seabed will help seal the leak, RussiaToday reports:

Dealing with the devastation of the oil spill is one thing, but fingers of blame are also being pointed over the catastrophe in the Gulf of Mexico. RT spoke to investigative journalist Webster Tarpley over whether lawmakers have been putting profits before people.
“Under Bush we had something called Minerals Management Agency. This was basically taken apart. The thing that seems to have malfunctioned is concrete casement at the bottom of the ocean – on the ocean floor a mile down – that seems to be defective. The other thing is that there should have been an automatic cut-off valve in this drilling rig, which was not there because of lax standards under Bush and Cheney and of course Obama, Salazar and company have done nothing to change this,” Tarpley said. “It is a disaster that has been caused by lack of regulation, insufficient enforcement and that’s where we get these results.”

Humourous though this suggestion is, (and already suggested by David Barry) the latest plan is to try and cap the leak. This has been done in shallower waters, but no one knows for sure if it will work here.
As for the atomic bomb... explosions may wind up being part of the final solution, but I highly doubt they will involve a nuclear explosion.

One of the reasons I love russia is how traji-comic the place is. In the 50's they had plans to use nukes to make a "trans-siberian" canal. Their resoning was because the irigation work around the Aral sea had worked so well.

Personally, I avoid Russian based newspapers and news outlets after they have told me for the past 5 years that all companies/corporations were going to leave America for Russia.
They (everything Russian based and Russian citizens) think way too highly of themselves.

Russian news media is mostly owned by the government, or is too small and disreputable to be listened to.

Anyway, back to the topic, I hear setting off a nuke causes a tectonic shift and thereby seals the oil leak. Now, the following is just my musings as a layman, but another word for "tectonic shift" is "earthquake", and we should all know what happens when there are earthquakes at the bottom of the ocean. If a tsunami is the result, the cure may turn out to be at least as bad as the disease in this case.

What the hell is Russia Today doing making an article like that? I must assume that is not thier idea. Russia Today is a more credible and reliable news source than any American news source, unless you count some of the alternative news sources we have...
