I don't really see the monkey part of it as "racist" (I mean, how many people compared Bush to a monkey?).

But the whole police shooting him thing is unneccesary, and the writer should've been fired anyway for writing/drawing such s***** cartoons. I mean, a f****** 3rd grader could write a funnier/more entertaining comic than that.

OK, so background story on the comic. A chimp had mauled a woman in Connecticut, and a cop shot and killed him. Cue the cartoonist to engage in political satire regarding the stimulus bill.

The President does not write bills. That would be the legislative branch.

wow, that story had EVERYTHING to do with the face ripping monkey that the police needed to shoot, and, cleverly, related to the "stimulus money" that local department received and then had taken back.....

I know, but every time someone compares a black person to a monkey doesn't mean it's racist.

Unless of course the writer really meant it to be racist, in which he deserves the s*** kicked out of him. I guess I'm an optimist (which is funny, because I'm usually not).

To me, it's the consistency of the law. I was told that anyone who uses that word on this site is gonna pay the price for it.
