I told my professor that I needed more time to work on an essay because my girlfriend has leukemia. I said that she had recently gone through chemotherapy and that I have been taking care of her. I also used it as an excuse for not going to class last week when really I was just hungover.

My girlfriend does not have leukemia. Aside from the 15 pounds she has gained over the past few months she is perfectly healthy. Am I a bad person? What do you think?

This does not make you a bad person. You already were a bad person.

Of course you're a bad person... what self-respecting man would not dump his girlfriend after she gained that much weight?

I think that makes you a saint for putting up with those extra 15 lbs. Better start whipping her and getting her back into shape then.
