You do have the following set to Yes, don't you?

User Control Panel : Board Preferences : Edit posting defaults : Attach my signature by default: Yes No

And this will only apply to new posts,but it doesnt matter does it?

It is set to yes now. Thanks for pointing that out for me, I figured I was missing something dumb like that.
