New Player Reporting for duty

Post by Commissar Mike »

Hey all, just wanted to say hi and I am glad I found this game. Looks like a lot of fun. i haven't played Risk in years but this is exactly what I was looking for: a nice casual game that I don't need to be on 24/7 to have fun.

I'm sure I will stink in the beginning, but luckily I don't mind losing as long as it's fun.

Well I figured I'd take the advice and just go for it heh.

So far it's fun. Admittedly I'm not a great player and I am just getting up to speed. One thing I am a bit curious about...it seems like alot of people either don't talk to you or are kind of rude and unforgiving of being new. I've already seen people acting this way. It has me a little concerned because frankly we are playing a computer boardgame, not competing for millions in cash prizes. What's that all about?

Yeah there are a few players out there that resort to cyberbullying when things don't go their way. You just can't let it get you down. I sent you a doubles game invite btw, if you want to give a team game a shot.

Indeed, everyone starts as a newbie, but having played Risk before helps... so if you keep your wits about you, and steer well clear of freestyle and weird maps for the time being, you'll be kicking ass in no time. Welcome!
