Also, the Democrats are too cowardly to actually come out fully against guns (in fact this administration created the largest expansion of gun rights in a long time).

Truly don't understand any gay people who vote or join the GOP, makes no sense.

you only think a gay republican is wierd because you think republicans have something against homo's. Most of that comes from the religious right (which also has a left BTW) It's just another issue. Democrats aint doing shit. homosexuality is a politcal card to them, to be played when needed, usually for garnering votes...

I've never had an issue with gay people and most people would say I am right wing, but well then the religious right is a source of frustration for me.

You can put me down as not wanting to see gay sex, but I have dozens of straight friends I wouldn't want to see doing the bump and grind either.

Depends on where you live. I can't really say much about other places, but other then the Matthew Shepherd media frenzy 11 years ago (really, how many other places did this kind of crap happen and ended up ignored by the national media, huh?), gays and conservatives in Wyoming have never really had problems. So long as gays don't go about in the Mr. Garrison way when he was trying to get fired by the school board, and other people don't bother them, there really isn't a problem. Actually, it has been pretty synonymous, minus Jackson and the out of state college students in Laramie.

No, you misunderstood. Let me put it a little simpler, and in a way that it attributes to most "debate" (for lack of a better term) things here.

"We don't screw around with your way of life, you don't screw around with ours."
You can pretty much name your 2 opposing sides in a debate on here, and that saying above applies to it here. Though I will admit that there is often a short fuse with people from say, California or the North East Coast, as more often then not, the culture clash is too different.

Pro-gun democrats aren't that rare. If by pro-gun you mean "not strongly against guns or gun-ownership".
