If you had said yes he might well have declared it in game chat..... Attempted and doing are two greatly different things.

There you have it, he was ASKING for an alliance. You colton are attempting to waste time by posting this here. A reasonable person would have said "sure lets declare a truce for X rounds, and announce it" or "sorry if I wanted to team up would play dbs...." and possible be kind to a less experienced freemium player that hasn't played much and point out that whilst alliances are not against the rules, there are correct ways to go about it.

Correct Colton - you cannot announce them afters - the rules are clear.
Game talk is announced in the game chat, end of -anything else is cheating

Read the thread.... Now kid re read my post above, just pointing out that there could have been more humane ways to handle this. Doing a bit of wall gazing,
Game 5350679 Me thinks that you are just dirty about him giving you a well deserved poor rating. The pm was sent a while back wasn't it(1wk ago to be precise).... Only now are you bringing this up. Looks like you could be trying to hold someone hostage over a rating. I only saw half of the threatening dribble you posted on the poor blokes wall, all over a well deserved and not unusual for you rating. Getting a strong suspicion that your motives are far from pure on this one. You appear to be envious that someone without premium and with 1/3 the amount of games played is a much better player with higher turns taken, win percentage and ratings.

No.... I didn't even relize what his rating was towards me. If I did and I don't remember I never keep grudges over a game/ rating. And how is the rating well deserved? And more importantly I didn't open the pm until today when I noticed it.

IF it wasn't colton44 with this complaint would you all be defending k_dub?
It's secret diplomacy. Should have been in chat. No ifs - ands - or butts.

He has been warned. All diplomacy must be done in game chat. Also informed tourny organiser. Alliances in tournies are a no no.

As another player in this game, I decided to investigate upon hearing colton24's accusation. I found these comments posted by k-dub and aferr on each others' walls, which are pretty definite in their implications. I've put them here unedited (except to sort them into chronological order):

I also have both screenshots and html back-ups of these pages, should any of these comments be deleted.
lukeconquer's wall is empty atm, so presumably whatever arrangements were made with k-dub were done by PM (are these mod-accessible?). However, with only four players remaining and the map laid out how it was, he was the only player in the attacking position they were talking about (it also helps that he is, in fact, the blue player in the game).
Mods, feel free to merge this thread with the other if necessary, but I would prefer it be kept separate for a while to be sure that this new information is definitely seen by someone since the other thread seems to have reached the conclusion that "simply sending someone a proposal is okay, as long as it's later announced in the game chat".
That was clearly not done in this case. This is my first experience with secret diplomacy, and I have to say, it's pretty disheartening.

Read one of my first posts kid. There were easier more humane ways to deal with this like giving him a heads up about the rules, he didn't know that when making an alliance you have to arrange it in game chat, rather than sort it out then post in game chat. He has only played 300or so games. Don't want to you feel like I'm picking on your little puppet

When? Nothing in my inbox (except from colton24 and K-dub).
However, the situation has (hopefully) been remedied amicably.
