I know first hand how much work you guys have put into this, thanks a lot from all of us in Mythology. As for 2011, I'm looking forward to getting Mythology into that top 10 ranking... gl all.

If you're writing it now positionally, then maybe put low and tsm at 4 each and the same with us and ID at 9?

Qwert, by your way Aoc would be 10th, not 8th.
However, I was merging them, and LoW and Tsm, but got 5th and 4th, I could go 4th for both, but, the math says 4.5, the dragoons and nemesis both got 8 and 10, the math of that is placed at 9th place as far as the votes, but, yes, they both could be 8th. AoC was 11th and 8th, so 9.5 in the middle, or 10 I suppose, but 9.5 shows the math of the merge. We all know there is no 4 in a half place, it is just the math of the merge.

Anyways, should I change it?

here it is placement without the math, the issue without the math, well, it shows low, tsm, dragoons, nemesis down below slightly better than the actual voting and perceptions, and it snubs aoc a wince lower then the math result. yes, they are in 10th place however you wanna slice it, but, the math of the merge shows they slightly better with 9.5 merged ranking.

But since when has this ever been a ranking based on mathematical guidelines?
It should just basically be perceptions on where clans are based, and therefore exclusively placings?
ie low, tsm would be both 4th on the list, dragoons and nemesis 8th

Why are we merging these two lists?

They are ranking very different things
1) Strength for the 2011 CCup
2) Who was the best in 2010

The Power Rankings were done by each clan

Blitz's rankings were done by select individuals arbitrarily chosen by Blitz and I'm not even sure if Blitz disclosed who all of them were (maybe he did, but it doesn't change much). Do these people really represent the CC community's perception?

This thread should either be open for all who want to vote on who had the best year in 2010 ranked 1-10 or it should change its title to "A Handful of Arbitrarily Chosen CC Members' Perception of TOP 10 CLANS by Years"

yes I did Peter, almost all were clan leaders, an exception was your clanmate Trapyoung, but, I think he shared with your clan his rankings. All was disclosed in the thread and the results of mine pretty much came out almost exactly the same as chuuuuck's as you can see. Maybe you have not been following along and it was all overseen as well. I can ask dako next year if you like and you all can discuss it with your clan. The results from both were about IDENTICAL (1-7), with exception of LoW-Tsm 4 and 5, ranks 8, 9, 10, we minor differences.
If I had it my way, I would have Tsm #2 as you all know, until they get beat by some clan anyway. Most didn't agree with me, as you can see, the results from 2010 on mine had them 5th.

Seems like a pretty accurate reflection to me and near identical to Chuuuuck's.

again, ++Legion++, Foed, Myth are real close right there around the 10-12 ranked clan range.

It is no secret that i like TSM as a clan and have always ranked them well. however this topic is Top 10 Clans by Years!

So technically if a clan is inactive in a year i dont see why they should even be on the list... for the same reason that they are not on a list before they exist... there is no history.

This is something i havent really understood.. it is a little off topic than the current debate, but something to consider.

I think its perfectly on topic... Are they one of the 4 strongest clans going forward in 2011? I say definitely

Were they the 4th best performing and most dominant clan of 2010? No.

Blitz, I love the idea behind what you are doing here but I think the process is a bit misguided.

Have to agree with JP & Rep here. The two lists were based on two different things.

There should be better clarity in future (e.g. "Best performing clans in 2012") because right now the way I see it Blitz's original list is really no different from a power ranking for the year 2011 (as opposed to a peformance ranking).

Blitz,leehar and i tell same thing. ranking are one thing,and points are other thing, but good that you understand that and make position properly. If some clans have same number of points,then they hold same position, half position not exist in any competition.

right CoF, it pretty much is the same, (only difference is I take the top 15 to 20 clans and have them only rank or perceive their top 10 not all). Later this year I will ask the top 15 to 20 clans to give me their perception of top clans again, I can include you CoF for your clans instead of trapyoung if you prefer, with lindax managing it overall. I just have those top 15 to 20 clans perceive what they think are the best clans of 2011, i will propbably do this around November 2011.
