I really want England to bring their A game to beat Germany but both are on my list for the WC, so who ever wins is fine i guess. Agreed, England have been embarrassingly shabby so far. USA played ok, they weren't crap or anything, just didn't get the breaks. Altidor was unlucky with his shot when he was lying down, that would've been a great goal, just a bit unlucky...

Are you kidding, at the end of extra time? The half is only 15 minutes long, 4 minutes of injury time would be equivelant to 12 minutes in a normal half.

No, the ref was overall fine in this game. I'm just saying that it's why the US team wouldn't flop around the pitch.

USA weren't crap, but were playing a different game than Ghana. Kick & rush, fall like a wuss at any contact, seek penalties the whole second half. A pity Ayew will be suspended for the quarters, he was great there, I still think they can take on Uruguay though.
Bigger games tomorrow, I hope Germany won't play "to not lose" as they might have the most creative german team in ages, and while Mexico has qualities I can't see them upsetting a (mostly) well rested Argentina. Hoping to see that awesome quarterfinal at least
