Whoa now, double slam.

Yeah, been wondering myself why he'd keep posting on something he hates?

Enough with the picayune "Well, a 7-year-old would do this..." stuff. Let's quench the thing already, sheesh!

I looked up the word picayune on wiki, Britannica, and a random guy who happens to have read the dictionary... Closest definition I found of picayune was an obsolete Spanish coin or an item that is now obsolete. (Yay knowledge; sorry just ran across an unfamiliar word and had to know the meaning... geek = me)

The coin in question was of very low value, so the term is used by extension to describe things that are minor or unimportant.

Is that the origin of the SI prefix pico-? Because that word came up on the SATs when I took them and I guessed right that it meant negligible only because I knew all the metric system prefixes.
Edit:
This above all, to yourself be Draft 24:

Issues addressed:
- ) New tentative new army shadow style
Issued not addressed:
- ) Final new army shadow style
- ) Any other brilliant ideas?
It's bigger, more colorful, sketchier, but goes outside the lines, particularly in Europe, which seems unpleasant. It might look better if I trim it just where it sticks outside the continent boundaries...

Or you could move the Europe armies position in the xml up and to the left a few pixels, and move the shading there too.

All of them?

Would the European armies & shadow fit in the western end of Europe, on the Iberian Peninsula part? It maybe wouldn't look quite as connected to the written country name as it does now, but I don't think it would confuse anyone. Similar to the UK armies being contained in Ireland.
my 2 cents

i like this map idea and would love to play it. i think central asia would be the best term to use for, well, central asia. i'm not fond of turkestan or irakistan being used.

I'd like to keep Europe's number closer to Arabia, though, so it looks more like the two connect.

---Netherlands has reached the ‘Final Forge’ Stage. I've revived this thread from the pits of the Foundry furnace and have examined the contents. Nearly every major concern has been addressed. If there are any other current concerns, please make your voice heard. There will be at least two days (but may extend pass that) for you to post any objections; if no one has posted any protest after two days the map will be deemed finished with the 'Foundry Brand' of approval and will be submitted for live play. If after two days there is still discussion going on it may continue until said discussion has reached the conclusion that the map has reached its final and polished version.
Post questions and concerns if any.

As far as I know, the army shadows havent been fixed/decided on. Something that was mentioned weeks ago now.

I think they look good as they are; I would judge the lack of opposition to mean the same.

They were being worked on back a few pages. Since then, nothing has been done. The shadows were brought up... that hasnt been resolved yet. Why hassle for quenching? Hassle for the changes.

Nothing was ever decided upon, and last I read, something else was going to be tried.
