yes
the two I was referring to was ID or FOED, of course, up to them and empire, was just a suggestion, or perhaps even IA, now that would be better than watching cable.

IA stated they only want 1 clan event going on at a time and they have the CL3 going presently. Also for FOED or ID, we wouldn't stand that much to gain if we beat them as everyone would expect it. We will have to decide what we want to do as a clan after we know who is looking for challenges.

You mean unlike SOW who no one expected you to beat?
Unfortunately we have a war scheduled already, and a long pending one against Legion, but who knows down the road.

We have been looking for a challenge in the top tiers for a while now. They are hard to come by.

We scheduled that when we had 6 new members, now we are looking for a top clan to face to prove ourselves.

Not trying to poke sticks, but when you played KORT, the score did not help your getting another top match? What about AOC? Those gals and guys are looking for a fight I think?

It sounds like that post is very much trying to "poke sticks." And if you would of read the rest of the posts I think you could of answered your own question.
viewtopic.php?f=442&t=102167 - That thread should explain why we don't plan on taking them on right now.
I am sure if you feel confident enough in your victory over us then we would welcome another, bigger match against you all when you finish the finals though.

I am talking about Ljex and chemefreak's post on Dec 7 where they made it public there view of the rankings...

Who said 4? Also yeah i think lose by 1 game too number 1 and 2nd place to another top 5 clan means they should be in the top 5. They dont have a lot of results, but the results they do have a good.
no doubt they are good but to say they are better then the other top 7 clans who have not had the chance to play the #1 clan kind of seems like a poor measuring stick.. and 2nd place in the division they are what 5 or 6 overall in the clan league... sorry but i couldnt disagree with u more...

Ahh yes I was forgetting this challenge. It was not meant as a swipe at empire, more just a statement of sorts. I know you guys are itching to prove yourselves again, but with the cup still going and or just finishing for most clans it would seem a break is in order for some.

Not meant to be a swipe my ass. You know full well you could have just said, your recent challenges are going to make finding a top clan to challenge hard. Yet you decided to specifically cite the KORT v EMPIRE challenge...

Obviously disagreeing is your prerogative, but I believe that unless proven otherwise they are as good as they are for a reason. If thota is a measuring stick for most clans, then all the better for us.
And no offence, but I wouldn't want you to put too much emphasis on the league, you may have the best record currently, but that's not enough evidence either. Look at us, I know we're playing horrendously currently there, but head-to-head in a proper war, I'd back us against anyone currently, whatever our own injury list may be like.
I can't explain the why's behind it, but it is what it is...

Lets look at the top 7 clans based on what i said
EMPIRE
IA
THOTA
TOFU
KORT
IA
TSM
Your post is essentially saying IA and/or EMPIRE should be above TSM, yet IA lost to LOW, LOW lost to THOTA by more games than TSM did. Also empire Lost to KORT so I as a member of the clan don't think you can rate us above TSM currently. Maybe you could explain why you think IA or EMPIRE should be above TSM based on this year? But i really don't see how you can do that even based on just the results of this year.

KORT just happens to be the last top clan you(Empire) faced. With that said what else would people have to go off of? It is nothing about Empire vs KORT it is more about Empire vs any top clan. KORT just was the last one you played.

Maybe the other 11 clan wars we have played...maybe our current performance in the CL3.

How is Kort one of the best clans Empire has faced? What have they done? (not a swipe, just wondering, you guys are obviously pretty good, based on your last challenge!)

Can you name someone else Empire has faced? LoW? Back a long time ago. Nemesis they played and won, AOC, they won. But what about TOFU, THOTA, TSM, IA, Low(recently) Legion(I have not looked to see if they have played) or anybody else really seen in the top 10. They are in a tough spot. A top clan such as TOFU does not have much to gain by playing Empire, unless it is a blow out. I do not think anybody would blow Empire out, but clans could beat them. Empire plays tough, but getting into that top 5 could be a task for them given the way things shaped up.

Bruce, I agree, that is why this entire conversation started with me saying we are looking for a tough challenge but they are hard to come by!
We would have no problem facing just about anyone rated below us. The problem lies that we have played and beaten all four of the clans I would rank directly below us (Nemesis, Mythology, AoC, and The Legion). We have beaten most of those pretty convincingly and fairly recently (except for The Legion). Anyone ranked below those, we get slack for playing over and over so there is no gain there. That is why I have stated ideal challenges for us would be TSM, TOFU, IA or LoW. IA and LoW have both made it sound like they are taking breaks and if TSM vs TOFU happens then it looks like we will be challengeless.

To add on here, we played ID back when they were strong and beat them convincingly as well. The Legion would be a good challenge. When we fought them in was our (and their I believe) first challenge ever and it ended up going to a tie breaker (which was a series of three 1v1 games--terrible format). So that one is long enough over that I think they are an option. Otherwise, as Chuck said, our options are pretty limited.

Your league showing is doing good for you all. It is showing that other top clans should be playing you guys or giving you a shot.

You should play TSM because then you might get a shot at THOTA.
I think TSM is going to get very busy if they are pre-screening all of the ponies' candidates though.

While it wasnt my goal to promote IA as i have only been there for this clan league.. but i love how ur leaving out any league regular season results out.. IA doesnt have much results either so they are probably in the same boat as TSM other then the fact they won the regular season of season 2 (last 12 weeks or so was in 2010) and are doing well this year... but ur chain reasoning is flawed.. to me a loss is a loss.. depending on how much u lost by is just an ego boost (or hit depending what side u are on).. in the end i feel clans that actually have won some stuff this year should rank higher

It would be nice to rehash that loss (arrrg, stupid war format) with Empire....Maybe after we lay nemesis down...
While everyone is staring at THOTA we've been slipping knives in ribs....
