This would be the best title. It is easily recognizable and simple. Just make it in the Star Wars font and most people will get it.

It's also in the books. Again, Star Wars fan-fiction would be copy-righted. Coruscant would be in the fan-fiction, like all the other planets/ships/characters, so they will be copy-righted.
wrong
Coruscant is a real word (from latin) meaning flashing or glittering.
Lucas can“t stop people from using ancient words.

does it really take this long for a rough draft?

Regarding Star Wars (and any other copyrighted material):
Every effort should be made to acquire express written consent for a map based on Copyrighted works. In the event that no response is given by the Copyright holders, the map can still be made, but must consist of completely original artwork.

I've got to say Cairns, I'm not fond of these latest map ideas of yours. Halloween Hollows, Bamboo Jack and Sydney 2000. I'm not sure why... partly design, partly concept I think. Nothing personal.
Holiday themed maps have been rejected before.

Yea. I think for the most part I can follow your "confusing" maps as other people put it. This one is difficult. Borders seem quite ambiguous. Colours blend quite thoroughly.
I have to say I love the look of the map. Unfortunately it isn't one that looks easy to play on. I think the concept is quite cool. Halloween. I like that the Blackwidow is needed for many bonuses, though honestly I can't tell if it is needed for all of them? (meaning yellow, green, both blues and purple?)
I now just noticed there is a purple and pink continent? But, I couldn't tell you which one goes where. They blend quite a lot.
It makes for quite a cool picture, but maybe not a good map. At least not currently.

I don't like how ugly it is, I don't like the theme, I don't like the organization of territories, I don't like the names of territories, I don't like how confusing it is.
Mmmmmm, that's a big bunch of don't likes. Sorry, but sounds like u a in a horrible mood.

You're fault, you asked, but I am actually in a good mood. I'm always in a good mood because I have happy pills.
I'll elaborate.
UglinessThe colors are really jarring and contrast too much, so they hurt my eyes. This may be because of my happy pills though.
What I know I won't like 'sober' or not is the (wow it just got hard to type) the icons you have for each territory. I get they have to do with your clues or whatever, but could they be nicer looking? The Wishing Pouch & Wizard Hat are especially bad, and the magic wand doesn't go well with the color it is on top of.
ThemeWith the title Halloween Hollows i was expecting something more calm and eerie, and occasionally jarring. Not Halloween Party on Acid. So I think the theme I'm seeing and the name contrast.
Territory NamesSkull Road....
Dragon Snout Heads...
Broomstick Base...
ConfusingIf people can't handle things that are spelled out for them on the map how much frustration for the moderators will these riddles bring?
Blackwidow Roost looks disturbingly like it is required for nearly every continent. Major balance issues there if it is. Only one player gets some of those continents at any time? Seems a bit rough.
Organization of the TerritoriesNearly every territory borders another continent's territories. With no clear defensive points except maybe the flying things as they have such flexibility, maybe, not understanding the riddle really. This looks like it will force players to steamroll constantly to have any success.
I Like The NameThe name created a lot of positive images for me, sadly none of them were realized here, but I still like the name.
OtherI wouldn't be nearly as critical of this map if it were just a holiday map. Not sure if we do that here, but maybe making maps for specific holidays that are only up the week before and after the holiday wouldn't be a bad idea.
I have to agree. the enitre map just doesn't have any cohesivness to it. I was kinda hoping for a large haunted house with different rooms and ghosts and such. I cant tell what is going on here and the whole thing seems kinda candy land and not very spooky.

No, but my priorities don't have this map very high on the list at the moment, unfortunately.
If anyone wants to take this map idea and turn it into what they feel it should be go ahead and go for it, I'll probably be in support of it.
My saying this does not mean I don't intend to continue with this map

Umm.. yeah... Deblaze is currently not at home... and I doubt he'll ever start with our school year starting (He's in Europe now)... Plus, he told me he's "got better things to do" lol... So... can someone else carry the torch for him? I'm too damn lazy lol.

I'm in the process of moving from the bay area to southern California - been staying with friends in the hills above West Hollywood and downtown LA/Little Tokyo. The more I drive around the more I like the idea of making a map of the LA area, in which you'd get bonuses for controlling the freeways - the 5, 10, 101, etc.
An LA map would have the same problem I'm running into with Berlin - a lack of natural unpassable borders, but there is a lot of potential graphically. I'll play with it more when I have more time.
NYC map ideas

Hasn't anyone else thought of this yet? The f.ive boroughs could be continents -- I think it could work really well.
Also, a more original idea, in case someone has already suggested a NYC map: a NYC metro map. Stations are territories, and maybe entire subway lines are continents?
Just throwing these ideas out there. I don't mind if anyone steals them, 'cause I'm not actually gonna make the map myself.

got to agree with these 2 pros, the map is not up tp ur standards cairns if compared to ur past works. my biggest issue is the borders and colours are so bad. and making blackwidow essential for to holding a bonus for 4 diff bonuses makes the gameplay not as great, possible idea of shrinking down to 3 or 2?
personally, im all for the holidays especially halloween, but the current state of this map is pushing me away from even thinking of playing it.

I am sure cairns intends to improve this idea, as he does all of his ideas, with about 20 to 30 different versions constantly going towards something the community likes. So I can't agree with dismissing the entire map.
Also, upon further review the spider is +1 by itself, and is not required for any of the web bonuses, although it does touch all of them. This isn't very apparent in the map though.
