Definitely much easier for me to read that text on the small map. Good to know I'm not the only one who's eyes aren't what they used to be.

I've been trying to make my own brushes on Photo Shop for ages and failed miserably

The bottom left legend text has a slight glow in the small - but not in the large?!
Should it be consistent?

the brighter, less watercoloured, look is closer to the spirit of the original than what we had. the isle of wight appears to be rather too distant from the mainland. can u move it closer? if u need to have a decent distance for the sea link to be clearly evident, then it's possible to make the dots form a curved, rather than straight, line. hadrian's wall is missing an apostrophe, but the wall itself is looking good!

A couple of your borders ned to be tidied up:
Tayside - the border looks messy as it goes beneath the mountains
Strathclyde/Lothian & Borders - the lines cross rather than meet
Westmorland/Yorkshire - it looks like there's a small 'clump' of about 1 or 2 pixels
Northern Ireland/Border Counties - the border overlaps by about 1px
South Leinster - the border ends before it reaches the edge
Midlands/Essex&Cambs - the boder doesn't quite join, it needs another px or so
East Anglia/Lincolnshire - another 1 or 2 pixel overlap
I think the wall is slightly transparent as you can see the borderline through it - the blue line is more obvious
I'm still not convinced by the mountains between England/Wales... it's not the mountains themselves, but the way that your borders interact with them - it just looks a bit messy. Do you need to have the mountains in Avon; would a blue border suffice?

I was primarily looking at the large map, but I think they're on both

I thought you were going to take out the one way attack note on the water?

I took out the arrow in the water, do you want the note as well?

I think arrows make it abundantly clear that they're 1-way attacks, but I guess there's no harm in leaving it in.

It really makes no difference wether its there or not, a little more is better than a little less

They are not supposed to but on the large map it seems possible (didn't we have this discussion 30 pages ago???).

We could replace the text in the water with "Attacks/Forts Only Via Arrows." But that is quite long and perhaps uneeded.
