I was looking at apartments in the French Quarter New Orleans. They were less expensive than I thought they might be. Still a bad investment for a guy that needs to fly hours to get there. I like bumming around there eating sandwiches, chicken, etc. and drinking boozy slurpee like beverages though. The hotel we stayed at was decent value.

Are you sure that's the one? It looks different from the picture Saxi used. Specifically the windows and middle of the block instead of on the corner.

I'm not sure what looks different in Saxi's picture... The garage door is open on google street image so you can't really compare it to Saxi's picture.... There are also two brick building on either side of the lot with the construction going on so it might be the other one (2 Normandie Terrace) not entirely sure. There are lots of older images out there of people protesting there over the years you can find online. One I found has the 'normandie' street sign in it, which makes me think it is the corner lot (2 Normandie)


SF has been the most expensive real estate in the country prior to Covid (might still be but haven't looked). A 1bd crackhouse is probably 2 million in the city .
