We've got enough trolls in the foundry who don't understand how it works, don't add to it.

I like textures, but I think it might be better if instead of the territories extending themselves, maybe bridges or something. just looks somewhat odd, thats all :D

anybody who wishes to partake in map making in any form must come to the foundry that is not too much to ask, if it is a good idea then it should prevail but if we have already specifically had this discussion people cannot complain

Qwert V.2 apparently

Look, there is no debate about the borders. A map maker should try to make every change suggested, however seemingly minor (although this isn't), unless either there is significant disagreement from the other foundry members for a valid reason (i.e. not 'we want to play it now!') or the cartographer can successfully argue for not going through with the change.

'I've made enough changes I don't want to make any more' isn't a valid reason. Nor is 'you're just nitpicking'.

People have asked you to even out the borders and make them less pixelated. There's no counter-argument. No-body is gonna argue that they look better as they are now. This is exactly the same situation as Qwert got himself into. His map has been abandoned, and I'm afraid your just gonna have to work with the foundry and make the changes or else give up. Don't put us through weeks of argument for nothing.

Even if you were to post a poll, you would have to provide us with two examples - pixellated and smoothed over - so you'd have to do the work anyway. Why not just make the changes and we can get on with getting it quenched

If you don't know how to go about smoothing the borders just ask, there are many skilled map makers who would be more than willing to help you out, but if its just an 'I can't be bothered to make any more changes' argument then I'm afraid that's not gonna wash. It didn't work for Qwert and it won't work here.

Guiscard, lone must know that even if do what you say, these map never be quenched(maybe will be quenched because i say oposite) because you will find something new microscopic mistake, i know because i fix borders to be smooth and blur, but then new thing you find, ofcourse first you enlarge my map 15time larger to find whats wrong.
Lone even you fix these "large"problems, belive me Guiscard and company will find something new.

I have no problems with the borders, I don't know why anyone would.

The only thing i would like to see if to remove the texture on all water areas and having it be flat. People in the foundry really love their textures but its often too much of a mediocre thing.

I'll take a look...

edit: OK you have three layers of borders and have used outer glow to thicken them at some point as well... You need to just get rid of all those current ones and re-draw with maybe a 2px brush. Then add a little blur and they should all be equally thick and smooth. Twenty minutes work at a stretch.

I won't warn you again qwert. Get your facts straight before you post and take any grudges with me to the Flame Wars forum.

Back on topic... I think the blurring has worked well in some places, but not in others.
