I looked into heroine withdrawal a bit more, i guess its not as bad as i have formerly believed (i remember hearing that people can die from quitting heroine cold turkey...), however its still worse than alcohol withdrawal. Alcohol is never so bad that they need to switch you to a different drug then wean you off of that. I know that much for a fact, so i'd question that inital table anyway.

I'm really happy my friend tasha isnt here to see that you were compairing alcohol to herion.. Her mother Died on Herion.. you want to see what it does to your system? Maybe you should ask her.. Since she grew up in that environment with a mom she had to put to bed every night. Luckily she saw it enough where she didn't like it and she wont put her son Mason through it.. However her son will never ever meet his grandmother now because she ODed on it.. Right after rehab too.. nothing worse then seeing a friend go through losing their mother like that.

I was calling into questin a table on the first page of this thread which ranked different drugs on several symptoms. They listed alcohol withdrawal as worse than heroine withdrawal.

I believe the reason alcohol is ranked worst in withdrawl is because of the DTs

Salva...your point is appreciated but dont ever say "there is nothing worse than......". There is far worse - you just have been lucky enough not to experience it. Thanks-
Your right.. there is something worse then it.. It could have been me going through losing my mother like that. There is always something worse then what you think could happen I guess you have a point there. Thank you for speaking up and for praising me! (you actually made my day better!! I'm here eating my pretzel peanut butter sandwhiches and drinking my wine which i might not drink much of.. But always remember people DONT DRIVE after drinking, its not a good thing to do! and no its not sarcasim I actually mean it.)

I started smoking pot in 1974.
UP until 6 years ago I smoked it everyday.
Whatever I could afford from a quarter ounce a week to an ounce a week.
I almost never smoked until I got home in the evening from work.
I quit cold turkey and never experienced any withdrawl symptoms besides boredom from not having a buzz.
To quit I had to move though because 90 percent of the people I know smoke.
These people include a psychologist, nurses, an electrian, tractor trailer drivers, almost all walks of life.
We all worked everyday and have never been thiefs or criminals.
Pot is pervasive in our society even moreso than most people think and a heck of a lot less harmful than alcohol!
Heavy drinkers don't like pot becuse it makes them sick.
Heavy drug users dont like pot because it brings them down off their high.
Now 6 years later i'm still pot free and feel no different than I did.
And no I havent gone to hard drugs or alcohol.
A 100 years from now it will be legalized but if they legalize it now Mexico will go broke.
Don't worry though fellow Pot heads.
GWB is a friend to the druggies.
He's doing his best to keep the flow of drugs into this country unimpeded.

If people do legalize pot than the same laws that apply to smokers should apply to them , ie not inside, not in a public place that kind of crap

And the laws regarding driving while intoxicated. I don't care if you're drunk or stoned, you shouldn't be driving.
As far as the smoking laws go, I think that's up to the individual business owner. Government buildings are a different animal though.
