When did revenge votes start being called OMGUS votes?

according to the wiki site that PMC gave me in the thread
http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=213&t=68065&start=30, OMGUS is defned as:
OMGUS: Oh My God! You Suck!. Usually used in the context of an 'OMGUS vote' - i.e. a vote for someone purely on the basis that they are voting for you.
so.......... always?

We're getting nothing done. First we bandwagon LSU in hopes of finding something out but then he just stares down the bandwagon and everyone jumped off. We have no plan or strategy. The random voting is going on too long. We need someone to lynch soon or just vote no lynch if we really can't find anyone.
Unvote Vote no lynch for now.

Unvote Vote Captain Walrus no lynches are never good. There never was a good reason to vote on me to begin with other then the fact that I haven't seen that movie so didn't know anything bout that 6 finger bit. I was asked a stupid question(coming from the point of view of not knowing the movie so I gave a stupid answer). You've already stated you were just interested in bandwagoning when you originally voted for me.

Captain walrus and suspect both strike me as kinda scummy, although I'm also not too sure about the people voting for them either.
But when I look at the vote count, all the people voting for LSU are the suspicious ones.
And considering he's also been grasping at straws for half the thread, unvote, vote suspect.

we have no good info on anyone, so what do we do? once we get close to a lynch the lyncher look scummy and jump off.
Lsu, be happy that I took my vote off of you.
Farside, I thought everything you posted was supposed to be in pink.
We need something crazy to happen, fast.

well the reason that our initial bandwagon got derailed was because someone started yelling scum when someone was put at L-2.
so
unvote vote AceArtemi for being a bandwagon buster and not allowing us to get any information causing this game to drag on.

I told you so, you aren't going to get much information by bandwagoning someone without a case against them. LSU had nothing to defend himself from. Now, though, we are out of random voting because we have discussion going on, and real reasons for voting for people.
No lynch is never good. Plus, why would you complain about getting nothing done, and then vote for a no lynch? It just doesn't make any sense. If you want to get something done, vote for someone and provide reasoning. Don't vote for no lynch, which is effectively voting for the town to be lazy and get nothing done.
Unvote, Vote: Captainwalrus for being a hypocrite and voting no lynch.
captainwalrus wrote:we have no good info on anyone, so what do we do? once we get close to a lynch the lyncher look scummy and jump off.
That only happens once, in the random vote phrase. Beyond that, people have a reason to vote, and they don't look scummy because they have a reason to vote. You are just reiterating Suspect's faulty logic.

First Sheep makes a reference to the six fingered man when voting for LSU, and LSU makes a totally inappropriate response.
LSU Tiger Josh wrote:sheepofdumb wrote:Vote LSU, tell me why you don't have 6 fingers on your right hand?
B/c my hand is not touching another body part of my body and wrapped around it making it appear to be a "finger".
Then, when no one seems to have noticed, sheep points it out again.
sheepofdumb wrote:Look what I did!
LSU, after much demand, provides this lame excuse.
LSU Tiger Josh wrote:Or maybe Josh didn't know the significance of the 6 finger bit and made a gross joke. No real need to state anything other then that I don't know the movie or characters.
I don't know who is scummier, sheep or LSU. Why did sheep bring it up? Why did LSU responsed so inadequately? He could have goggled the six finger reference before answering. So far this is the scummiest thing I have seen. So I am not changing my vote, although
FOS Sheepofdumb.

I'm not really seeing any direct connections to scum roles and dirty jokes...
By the way, LSU Tiger Josh and Simon Viavant seem to be the only two names not bolded on the front page, I wonder why?

I don't bother looking up 3rd party things when I am on for a limited time. When I know I'm town, it makes no difference to me about stupid comments. boldness comes from "confirming" being in. I never did so which is why I'm assuming I'm not bold.

I thought it was derailed due to our illogical it was?
More often then not a straight out bandwagon-to-lynch reveals nothing of substance, stopping this bandwagon now probably gives us more info for the following day. Now, generally, most of any 'info' gathered from a bandwagon is done and made effective as it is happening or just past, as it then gives people knew ideas to branch off. What would you rather, a day one where you have a bandwagon, and then thoughts put out as to why certain players bandwagoned, defences of actions and so forth or a simple day one bandwagon and a day two where we start off from scratch again?
Anyway, I can't help but notice your lack of a response to my earlier post regarding yourself (excluding your bit about my post colour)

Players often make random comments throughout games, if LSU really had not heard of The Princess Bride then that would look like a random comment. Even so, such a question was irrelevant anyway, as such I don't see how LSU's comment towards it should be all that relevant either. This is a whole lot made out of a whole lot of nothing.

I totally agree with Skof. It was a random comment that got a lot of votes on LSU. I was kinda surprised that people started throwing votes his way. I was also kinda proud that one random vote and comment brought LSU to -2 lynch. I'm overdue for unvoting on him because really there was no reason to vote for him in the first place. Unvote

I agree. How hard is it to copy+paste the unreadable text into a word document and read it there?

Just so everyone knows, the deadline is in about 3 days. I don't know the exact time of the deadline, but 3 days does not give us a lot of time.
