All right, thanks to everyone who joined up--Electrokel, aniximo, KidWhisky, and graulenst snagged the last 4 spots, while everyone else was added to the reserve list (basically everyone who posted on page 6 of the thread). You may all move up a spot on that list if Lufsen75 really does want to be the last reserve, not the first one!
Everyone who made it into the tourney should have gotten a PM from me a little while ago.
I'll be requesting tourney privileges shortly and the games will be out after that. I've already used random.org to divide you into your groups of 8 and updated the 2nd post in the thread with that information.

All right, first round games have been sent out! The second post now contains links to every game; I'll be updating that post throughout the tourney with each round's result. Everyone's got 72 hours to join; hopefully, the games will fill quickly and we'll be off and running.
Good luck to everyone!

4/7 games have started; there are 4 players missing from the other 3 games, and they've been given a 24-hour warning. If they haven't joined by tomorrow night, I'll start contacting reserves.

All the games are now full and running--only needed to use two reserves, thankfully. Good luck, folks! I'll be checking in with periodic updates as players get knocked out and the games finish.

A quick update--we're reaching that point in most of the games where the sets are getting significant, and we have our first eliminated player:
Me.

(I honestly have no idea what happened--I've had a friend covering me for the last few days!

)
Keep up the good work, folks. We'll see how fast the games finish up now and when Round 2 can get started.

We have our eliminations from three games: Game B (PAUL912 and JoJo123), Game D (rocklobsterwg3 and acores2005), and Game G (geigerm and angola). Also, we've got our first game winner, as Jack_Strap took Game D.
6 games left to finish, 4 games in which everyone's still alive ... Keep checking the second post on Page 1 for updates!

Congrats to our next two game winners--dfp2dep (won Game B) and riskthis (won Game G).
Every player is still alive in the remaining 4 games.

We have another winner and another two eliminations--bonus_mop wins Game A, taking out graulenst and J-mad22 first in the process. 3 games to go before we can move on to Round 2.

Two more eliminations--DimnjacarStef and CarrotKhan have been knocked out of Game C. With 5 players remaining and the next set netting 60 armies, this one should be done soon.

We have our first elimination from Game F, as Athiest is now out. Still 3 games to be finished.

We've figured out all the Round 1 eliminations now--Gypsys Kiss and ga7 were knocked out of Game E, which OutSider won, and HighlanderAttack joins Athiest on the sidelines after being eliminated from Game F.
Just waiting on 2 games to finish. Game C is all but over--unless goggles paisano has a well-timed 3-card set, sargonflex is going to win that one--while Game F is down to its final 5. Once those games finish, we'll start Round 2.

sargonflex did indeed get the win in Game C. Because I think it's highly unlikely that anyone's even going to have enough time to deadbeat out of Game F, I'm going to go ahead and set up the games for the next round. The matchups are now listed in the 2nd post; expect a private message with your game number and password shortly.

Round 1 Game F is down to its final 3, and things look pretty balanced at the moment. It'll be very interesting to see who comes out of that one with the win.
In the meantime, all Round 2 games have filled--thanks to all of you for joining so promptly and saving me from having to send a 24-hour warning to anyone!

Best of luck in this round.

Iffy Boatrace is our final first round winner, snagging the victory in Game F. That'll likely be the last update from me for a little bit, as I'm sure the second round games will take a while.

We've got our first Round 2 elimination, as baggins994 has been knocked out of Game A. With the sets climbing, I'd expect to see more eliminations soon.

Game F ended quickly, as sportsgod24 started Round 8 with a 30-army set and swept the board from there. Electrokel and bonus_mop were the first two players eliminated, so they'll be leaving the tourney.

We've got our second knockout from Game A--goggles paisano falls in Round 8, so all players remaining in that game will advance to Round 3 as long as they do not deadbeat.
4 players are out, 1/6 games in this round are done.
