The North American resistance has moved into a tiebreaker to see who will join EdwinG in the final North American Battle.

So here's where we stand.

In the Southern Hemisphere/Asia region fighting continues in Brazil where Drunk_Idiot looks to outlast Jaybebo and FaceyKC to claim the final slot. If either Jaybebo or FaceyKC win that last game there will be an 8 man playoff on Cairns Coral Coast to see who advances to Round 2. Only the winner of that game will go on. sackett58 TheWreckless1, and Lufsen75 have all advanced.

In the North America Region there is a 4 player playoff occurring right now in San Francisco where the first to die is out of the tournament. EdwinG has advanced with 3 of the following to join him bagwellthegreat, KidWhisky, ballenus, and hijay

In the Axis Region there is one final game featuring illusions850 and solar. Solar is eliminated but [b]illusions850 can force a playoff game with Gilligan and BaldAdonis if he wins in Germany. If Solar wins Gilligan and BaldAdonis join Sir. Ricco and taxmanjile in the next round.

In Europe, barterer2002 has advanced and mangus has guaranteed that he'll at least be in the playoffs. Of the rest only splash_x has been eliminated so this is still anyone's ball game.

The survivors in North America are set (EdwinG, KidWhisky, Bagwellthegreat and hijay).

In the southern Hemisphere sackett58, thewreckless1 and Lufsen75 await to see who emergies out of the wreckage of Cairns as an 8 person battle looms where only one may emerge. Drunk_Idiot, LordZack72, harvmax, Natewolfman, kotaro, DirtyDishSoap, lord voldemort and FaceyKC all will battle to determine the 4th for this table.

In the Axis region Gilligan, BaldAdonis and illusions850 have fallen back to Berlin and await reinforcements but only two will emerge to join Sir. Ricco and Taxmanjile

The Europeans are, as always a trifle slow as there remain two games in progress which could affect the final standings. Barterer2002 is advancing while mangus and goggles paisano will at least make the tiebreaking game but there is still much to be decided.

Gilligan has been eliminated so the Axis region is now set. Just waiting on the final game in Europe as well as the Southern/Asian region's tiebreaker

Still waiting on two final Round 1 games.

IN the Europe resistance there is an Iberia game that will decide the final member to survive or potentially (although unlikely at this point) throw some chaos on the tournament). With three players remaining, if geigerm wins there will be 9 players with one win each to play a tiebreaking series (randomly sorted into 2 games-a 4 and a 5 player with the winners of those playing to advance). If either AtrestesHouse or vampir2124 (who is currenly in the lead) win they will become the 4th player with 2 victories and make it easy on me.

In the Southern/Asia region the 8 player tiebreaker is about to get intersting as the first set of cards has been turned in and will escalate quickly with 8 players.

The resistence is starting to fall back for the next push at moving out the Aliens.

In Europe, the surviving members are: Barterer2002, goggles paisano, mangus and vampir2124

In Axis the surviving members are: Sir. Ricco, taxmanjle, illusions850 and BaldAdonis

In North America the surviving members are: EdwinG, Bagwellthegreat, hijay, and KidWhisky

In Asia/Southern Hemisphere the surviving members are: Sackett58, TheWreckless1, and Lufsen75. There is currently a report of an alien POW camp where Natewolfman, Lord Voldemort, kotaro, DirtyDishSoap, Fancy_KC, LordZack72, Drunk_Idiot, and kotaro are being held. We're not sure how many of them will get out but even one makes it worth the efforts.

We'll have a short momement of silence while we grieve for our fallen comrades and await word from Cairns on the rescue operations.

A moment of silence as we have our first casualty in Carins. It seems that LordZack72 has been mortally wounded.

And from Cairns emerges a new hero, driving back the invaders and avenging the deaths of his compatriots, Natewolfman claims the final slot in round 2

We have received word from South America that two of our heros have fallen

TheWreckless1 "Scorge of Greenbloods" as well as Lufsen75 "The Savior of Brazil" have both fallen to the invaders.

If we could observe a moment of silence for our comrades I think it would be appropriate.

There is both good and bad news coming out of South America where the aliens have managed to kill of Nate"The Colossus of Cairns"Wolfman however a hero has emerged as the crowds from Rio to La Paz rejoice at the name of Sackett58 who has driven the alien invaders out of the southern part of the new world.

We also have reports of sad news from Africa where mangus "Heir to Lord Nelson" has fallen after climbing out to an early lead.

No reports yet from North America or Asia.

We have some mixed news today.

In Africa our comrade Goggles "The Scilian" Paisano has fallen in battle but barterer2002 "Liberator of France" has finished off the task of driving the invaders out of Africa.

In Asia we have two more casualties to report as both taxmanjle "The IRS knows who you are" and illusions850 "David Copperfield" have fallen under the invaders weapons. We are still hopeful of word from the survivors.

I won Asia.

The rumors coming out of Asia have been confirmed. There is no more alien presence there as BaldAdonis "The Colossus of China" has driven them off with the help of Sir. Ricco who was fatally wounded in the last offensive. The celbration in Peking is tempered by the lose of such a hero.

We're still awaiting word from North America where the aliens appear to have entrenched in a last ditch effort to hold onto a foothold on the planet.

We have just received word from North America that Bagwellthegreat "Power of Houston" has fallen in the battle. Nevertheless, it appears that the aliens are beginning to fall back. Stay tuned to this channel for more information.

A small pocket of the invading aliens still hold out in a corner of North America (South Greenland). I should be able to completely eliminate them by tomorrow.

Updating the battles.

EdwinG has driven the invaders out of Space while BaldAdonis has driven them away in SOlar System.

On a global scale a few pockets of resistance on World 2.1 still exist.

On a tournament level, if either BaldAdonis or EdwinG win the 2.1 map they win this portion of the tournament and advance to the EIOT round. If either barterer2002 or Sackett58 pull it out there will be a three man tiebreaker.
