Good stuff so far. The last game was a really good show compared to past efforts.

Roll one England.

I did 'have it off' as you euphemistically put it audax (my bloody wife can't keep her mouth shut even to family).

Had a bundle at 11/4 on the handicap with the bookies, laid a bundle of bets on Italy with a 24.5 point head start on the exchanges, then filled my boots when the opposite price went out to 5/1!! (these layers will never learn will they)...oh well, the Fruitcake houselhold are assured Dom P, Romeo y Juliets and some decent smoked salmon for the next few months.

Roll on England...no bets here, too much too bear anyway.

Enjoyable game between England and France there, especially as England won. :D

Was a great game Balsiefen. I did wonder why Les Bleus kept on going to the wing where Vainikolo was, and thank goodness we saw some of his raw power for once.

Wales gave Italy an absoloute thumping, Shane Williams may be a split second slower than he was but he is still mighty fast.

Ireland seem to start really putting it together in the second half.

This 6 nations looks wide open now.

Well thats a turn up for the books. England were superb, Franc esomewhat clueless, which surprised me. My only wish is that they would use Lesley through the middle a bit more.

Still, great result and onward we go(hopefully).

Brilliant stuff. That's the kind of Rugby I wanna see from England. Two halves, not one. Special mention to Wigglesworth, man of the match in my opinion. His face was a picture.

Here we are, just 2 weekends left.

Now that the table has been thrown wide open again, what's your prediction for the top 3? (and in order).

Mine:

Wales
France
England

After this weekends games I think the top 4 will all have 6 points. The points difference is going to be crucial going in to the final weekend.

I think Ireland will beat Wales but not by the twenty odd points they will need to top the table tomorrow night.

England will beat Scotland convincingly and France will do the same to Italy.

Which brings us to the final weekend. Wales will beat France and England will beat Ireland leaving the table as follows:-

1st Wales
2nd England
3rd Ireland
4th France

ahem! Scotland 15 England 9

Oh flower of Scotland,
when will we see your like again.
who fought and died for,
but we bit hill and glen.
and stood against them,
proud Edwards army
and sent thm homewards to think again.

And we totally deserved it. Scotland played a fairly crap game, but we were on a whole different level. The annoying thing was that the team, on paper, was perhaps the strongest we've put out. Or at least it should have had the fewest weak links. Guess I'm just gonna have to keep cheering for Wales.

Lucky sod. If France win on Sunday with a good haul of points, and it will have to be a 40 odd point margin, then it could well be an epic match next weekend. Notwithstanding this, I think France will go all out to stop Wales getting the Grand Slam anyway.

Well done Shane...yet another superb performance from a guy we all like (especially my Wife, she says she has got the adoption papers ready...along with just about every other middle aged lady of welsh extraction I know!) I will certainly raise another glass of beer when he sets the new record.

Those days are passed now
And in the past they must remain
but we can still rise now
and be the nation again
who stood against them
gainst them
proud edwards army
wankers
and sent them homewards to think again

Yeh... The bloody French!

Come on... At least allow the Welsh this bit of glory. They've not exactly been playing the most boring rugby of all time, plus we don't give points for style at the moment.

Well I stick by my forecast for the finishing order.

1st Wales
2nd France
3rd England

Good match in the end. Saw a lot more out of Italy that I expected. Managed to keep the points close enough to pretty much prevent a Welsh loss overall next weekend.

So roll on Super Saturday (as they were enthusiastically calling it on the BBC). Up The Welsh!

Shame about England though. In all seriousness, they can play really well, it is a real shame to have thrown it away like that.

"Jonny Wilkinson has been dropped for England's RBS 6 Nations clash against Ireland at Twickenham on Saturday and will be replaced by 20-year-old Danny Cipriani."

Oh dear, I am not so sure this is a good idea. Jonny is still on the bench, with Charlie Hodgson dropped.
