I'm one of them but I want to play seriously and spammy both. The problem is I used to be able to and now I can't. Leading to the problem. If I thought I couldn't handle it all I wouldn't join. But it's tempting to.

Well, its not like people don't know who will spam and who won't. Most intelligent people on this site know who is good enough for a game, and who will just spam.
I'm not sure how this would work, but 18 half empty games certainly is not doing any good. So this is atleast worth a try. However I do have concerns, I just hope that favourtism doesn't somehow work its way into the mod queue and the less experienced modders get pushed for the themed ones. I like Mandy's thinking on it.

For the record Fircoal was requested for my game because it is spammy, after all it is meme themed << And uhh... it was supposed to be small but the players... they made me fit them in! *runs away*
Everything confuses and enrages me! Raaaargh Join Discord groupfor multiplayer gaming and general nonsense.
What we should do, is have a usergroup that is dedicated to playing mafia and the experienced players are brought in, leaving the forum games for the newer, less experienced players to have as many games as they want.

Truth be told, then every inexperienced player is going to want to be in that group, and the amount of games in Forum Games would die to almost nothing. All experienced players would play in the usergroup, and pretty much none in forum games [if all the best games were in the usergroup, I wouldn't play here].
true, but what could be done would be to strictly limit the number in the usergroup and/or make sure that there is a set amount of participation in the games in the forum games. that way, you would have 2 forums for games, they wouldn't get too cluttered too easily and you could be sure to keep certain people who no one wants but haven't done anything bad enough to get blacklisted yet out.

That's a terrible idea. It would be a system that encourages elitism, not to mention the fact that you couldn't force people to participate in the "bad players forum." I know I at least wouldn't be here participating if the games were set up like that, and I think it should be a welcoming environment.
That said, there's an easy solution to this. People just need to stop modding so many games. If you see that there are 10+ games going on, wait it out for a month or two. And if new games get started anyway, just tell that person that they should hold on, or in the case of the newer players, tell them to get some more experience before modding.

well, if nothing else, we should try and get a mafia clan and have 2 forums for games. that would reduce clutter in this forum to an extreme degree and allow for more games (which ARE going to start occurring)

I don't believe there should be a mafia game clan. It's too.. I dono. Unless everyone that played mafia also joined that clan, so no one is left out and everybody accepted (even those that aren't really wanted). Games will still be played in the Forum Games but also in the Mafia Game clan.

sorry, but I mod a game after every game I make. It's the way I do it, if people join a game will come.
