Ah...I'm not in favour of that Coleman, but i'd be interested to hear your reasoning behind your statement...afterall one of the requriements for making some of these statements is that we must provide reasoning behind them. Sorry. but i love playing devils advocate.

The reasoning is that you don't seem to have a lot of support as of late. It's very difficult to follow. Nobody has any suggestions for making it easier to follow that wouldn't change the whole map. If we're going to change the whole map we might as well start over in Map Ideas.

Coleman...thanks for that. I appreciate your concern.
I am beginning to wonder the same thing.
Perhaps I am not llonged to continue making these map on CC as people can't seem and don't seem to want to follow them and changed their thinking from the Classic model.
I will review the situation shortly.
And yes, i am not in favour of changing the map as it will change the whole concept of what essentially was the Battle of Gazala.
If player aren't interested in these maps then there is nothing i can do, but just role up the paint brushes.

Dude, you make difficult, technical maps. They fill an important niche here. Let not the paucity of public feedback dissuade you. I've had some great games on CCC, and I have an advanced flat rate game going on actium that kicks ass.

I agree with Incandenza, but I don't think this map is working. I think a lot of the problem is the weird layout for this one. The connections are hard to see and confusing. Not sure if they still overlap or not, that's how confusing they are.

would be sad to see this one go. i like it, it's not that confusing. I've been away for a while so haven't checked up on it. It's really not that confusing, the only thing (from last memory) was getting the bonuses right. Keep it afloat!

You know what? This one reminds me of the Rail USA map - couldn't fathom it at all at first, is now one of my favourite maps. My vote is you keep plugging away, I don't think it's that difficult to follow - focus on the people who will enjoy it, listen to any comments they have, but the people who think it's too complex aren't going to play it anyway, so they shouldn't be your target audience...
PS Coral coast is my personal fav ever map, just FYI - so thanks for that.

Version 8 Update
Changes have been made to the attack routes and several positions in the bottom right corner and the Cauldron to space things out a bit more and clarify some of the attack lines.
Hope this makes this a lot better to follow.

Couple of things...
1) Can you post up some fake neutrals to help us understand which ones are neutral to start?
2) Can you explain the Mortars a bit better... I'm not sure what you mean by a "surrounding territory"
Cheers,
C.

I just don't think that's very clear... is there a way we can make this clearer?
Maps shouldn't necessarily rely on Bob!!

Well C...those are the terts that surround the Indian 7/7th....
I use Ajax drop down to determine on some maps what things are where they are unclear to me. I don't use Bob.
However, having said that, i don't know if there is any other way of explaining it....unless someone else can think of something.

yes, but shouldn't I be able to know what can attack ME without using BOB?
many people wouldn't be able to know which mortars could attack them without using BOB. You can't use the drop down on ajax to see that
maybe do something with targets? Each mortar could have different target symbols?

qwert...hello...haven't seen you in a while.....
these are only temporary number so that one could see where the actual play starts and what positions would be neutral.
