Hitman079, I am now holding a grudge against thee. *Gets out his spiked club* With the PS3 and Xbox 360, it is MORE of the same, where the WII brings out the wiimotes and has gamecube controller compatitablility. I should say more, so it also has other features I wont explain unless I am told to explain more.

The ps3 sucks. All it has is pretty graphics that you pay a lot of money for. It has pretty good games, but the 360 can beat almost any one. It just doesnt seem worth it.
Being a Wii owner, i think i have more authority over some of you. It is a great game at first, or when you have a bunch of friends over. Yet, it can really bore you after a while. a very short while. I have a bunch of Wii games, my favorite being Red Steel. I love the Wiimote because it is one step closer to virtual reality. Virtual reality video games are cooool. The Wiimote's biggest problem is that the motion senser does not work with all games. Nintendo's sollution to this problem: go to the store and buy 4 $50 NEW controllers to go with the Wiimote. wtf is that? Really, the only thing that i think the Wii has going for it is what i already stated. and Brawl. Oh yea, why the f*** does it let you browse the internet, check the weather, and edit photos? My last problem is that i read an article about the Wii that says that it is gonna also focus on games for young children and middle-aged women. They asure Nintendo fans that they will continue to make hard-core games, but i dont believe it. So far, every Nintendo console has been the same. They start out looking great...but eventually dies down because of the lack of good games. (wtf is Cooking Mama???!?!?!?!?)
What looks to be the most promising console is: the 360. The games are great! Halo 3, Gears of War, Deadrising, Crackdown, Halo Wars, Lost Planet, just to name a few. The xbox live features are great, and so far no other consoles can beat that. Right now, it is fairly cheap. I believe around $270, with $5 a month gold membership (the first month free).
IMO: the best NEW game console is XBOX360. The real best console is by far the Graphing Calculater.
Remember, video games are not about getting girls.

Agreed on everything. I bought my Gamecube for Melee and I bought my Wii for Brawl. Everything else is negligible to me.
I'll get an XBox 360 for the games eventually... btw you forgot Bioshock in your list

So we can (almost) all agree that the PS3 is not the best. Right now, we can't compare the other two though. The 360's been out for a year longer than the Wii. We can start when all the Mario and Zelda games/Brawl/accessories/new channels come out for the Wii (a fair time to compare the two systems would be next Spring maybe).
Right now the 360 is much better than the Wii I'll give it that. But by 2008, they will probably be about the same, with the PS3 being dead before then.

there really is no point for a wiimote, they just did this to make it stand out against other consoles, and to attract people other than nintendo fanboys. i don't see the problem with a normal controller. for example, the keyboard is just fine for the computer, and i wouldn't to use a wiimote or something like that for MY computer gaming.

All I've seen for it so far are 2 trailers with some good graphics. THAT'S it. You have no idea on the gameplay, because none has been shown. So how can it be better when it isn't even a game yet? You can't.
The graphics weren't even that special. Square Enix can do better with their eyes closed.
Now with Killzone 2, we have a trailer that shows gameplay.
So I know how it plays.
All Wii based opinions on here (except for Fircoal's) are valid, because people have played them.
All Halo 3 based opnions are not valid, beacause people haven't.

Maybe you should look at all the Halo 3 videos. I mean, theres a thread in this forum devoted to them. Killzone sucks, as will Killzone 2. They dont come anywhere near to touching any of the Halo series.

having played halo 1 & 2 and thoroughly enjoyed them both, i'm willing to endure terrible graphics, gameplay and anything else bungie may ruin, to find out how the story ends and to be able to say i played them all.

Halo 3 is the final game.....thats been said countless times. So you can bypass thinking it. It doesn't matter how much of a blast it makes, the first two halo's where easy to pick up and learn. They sold a lot of copies, the masses play what the rest of the mass is playing. The reviewers are part of that mass. So in other words get ready for a shit storm of sales, which is already happening and has been, a flurry of "praise" from review "artists", "Fan boys" praising it and faulting it over there counterparts and so much static game development to come because of it, it will make WoW seem like a tin bucket, some old cowboy spits in. It doesn't matter if its a blast, its all about the hype. No game is ever as good as the first, so few games are really good in reality, but hey thats just my opinion.
