This meme/gif is also memorable... but mostly for some vaguely 'icky' reason that my mind refuses to fully process. (thank gawd)

Let's try some more therapy. Remember boys and girls, it's a thread about a cup of water. Stay on topic.

A disposable plastic cup.
Not very eco-friendly...
I suppose ...'budget cuts'?

Once again, the exact nature of the clear liquid in the cup is put into question.

to stay ON TOPIC:
The red squiggly (or partial or slotted) lines in the diagram above represent hydrogen bonds (or bonding), which is important to the concept of water. This is one reason ethanol (i.e., alcohol) is so soluble in water (dissolves so readily and easily).

For those who need to know, the models shown are called ball and stick models. :D
Also, the pairs of black dots represent unbonded electron pairs.

And for those who keep track of such things, this and topics in Physics are presented here with NO Cut and Paste.

And since the plastic cup is clear, it is likely made of PETE (PolyEthylene TerEphthalate).

Yes, I discussed water, based on the posted diagram, and the plastic cup that is its container. Thus, I was ON TOPIC.

Do you want to know that:

1) there are different forms of ICE? (I think Kurt Vonnegut) wrote about a fictional Ice IX as a short story, as I best recall).

2) Water is one of the few materials that will float in its own liquid, due to the same hydrogen bonding I mentioned earlier. This makes ice (ice I, to be precise) less dense that pure liquid water and hence it floats in the pure liquid.

3) The maximum density occurs at about 4 (3.98, to be more accurate) degrees Celsius.

4) The hydrogen bonding also accounts for water's relatively high heat capacity (exactly 1 calorie per gram per degree C or 4.184 J/(g degree C)). This means water is a good coolant and explains why we sweat to cool ourselves.

Cubic crystalline ice VII was found on Earth, trapped within a Botswanan diamond.
All naturally-occurring solid chemical compounds are also minerals... so Ice VII now needed a separate mineral name.
The mineralogists came up with cubo-ice.
Not to be confused with ice cubes.

Huh? What?

You mean this??

First Tiffany, now this.
What's with all the references to semi-prehistoric musical acts?

Whatever you do, don't leave your cocaine, uh, boog-shug in your vehicle when you go camping.
KoolBak can rip car doors right off the frame while sniffing around for his favourite treat.

Nope, her belly is too jiggly for that, the pics might fool you but this video shows her rubbing and playing with it. And yes that's the same girl. I know my fatties Betiko, if I say she's fat she's fat. 8-)
Fortunately for your eyes most of the pictures and videos are no longer hosted.

That kind of jiggly almost bankrupted Victoria's Secret, ...but now St. Ozembic is here to save the day.

So anyway, when are we going to return to more always-fascinating 'water in cup' discussion?

So you offended these women and were NOT successful with your pick-up lines. Well Done, p-rat.

I KNEW you were NOT a winner.

That is YOUR BEST response?? No wonder those women rejected you...!!

And my life is NOT the subject, your LOSER LIFE is the point of this discussion. You are the one to bring up getting rejected in bars. I am not that desperate to TRY to pick up women at BARS. :o LOSER
