awwww and my p and i had already won one of the 3 games and are in strong position in a 2nd game.

heh, that sucks LSU, you guys were tuning us up big time.

haha oh well. I introduced my p to cc and took some of his points early on to help teach him how to play. was using this to try to help him get some back granted I know I'm not that great since I played in the original iron man tourney as a sgt and won only 2 of the 36 games which killed my win % and rating lol, but it also taught me a bit watching the higher ranks play

what happened - is there a reason why this was abandoned? (too many deadbeat teams/players)?

Or you no longer have the time/privileges to run this tourney?

I realize that it seems like a lot of time and energy (and it HAS been). But, this tourney has gotten through the hard parts (garnering enough competitors and receiving tournament privileges).l It's all downhill from here.

You've already created and recorded the 24 initial games AND created the 12 games for the elite 8 (if someone hasn't joined by [convenient check-in time for you] on Thursday, it's a forfeit/PM to replacement). After that, just say the semi finals will begin on [convenient check-in date at least 10 days from now]. Same goes for the finals ...

Also - instead of PMing each player, just create the games and edit the teams, game #s, and passwords in the initial post (assume someone won't hi-jack a game). A little less time consuming.

Could a mod switch permissions from MichiganFan22 to Aerial Attack for this tournament? That way I could remake the other 6 games for Round 2, and then make the 6 games for Round 3 and the 3 games for the Finals?

I believe you will have to get michiganfan22 to sent the PM to them. That's what I've been told to do when trying to resurrect tournaments.

Don't feel too bad. I didn't know until after lots of trouble. AK_iceman finally clued me in.

MichiganFan22 responded that he PM'd the mod. I guess we just need him to change the title from "abandoned" to "Elite 8"
