Yeah, me too. It seems every year the Olympics come just when I'm too busy in R/L to pay much attention, and every year I promise myself that NEXT year I'll take a long, hard look at it. Then the next year comes and it's the same thing again.
This time, I'll learn from my mistakes. I'm not promising ANYTHING for next year!

I don't foresee any issue with this, all Advanced Tribes are very active and the Primitive Tribes have so much players that at least one should step up and hopefully join...I guess we won't know for sure until that day...
What I mean is, if you have a 16 player tournament where ONLY one is allowed to sign up from each, and there's only 4 primitive and 4 advanced (idk exact true numbers I'm just giving an example) then you'll never hit the 16 required cuz there isn't 16 groups.
There were a few issues with this last year when your tribe was your clan (meaning there were more tribe options). The less popular maps/setting tournaments had trouble filling. I think Josko ended up recruiting for at least one of them to start.
Right, and this year there is even less tribes to fill. And some restrict that multiple from same tribe can't join so are those ones even possible / realistic
Yes those are possible, the max per Tribe has been adjusted to "3", hope this will answer hat concern
tribe with more participants has more chance to win, finally? A tribe with 4 players involved who win only 1 round each, will be always better placed than a tribe with only one player who won his 4 rounds.
I agree with what you said but that was the only way to do it since only 11 Tribes exist, we were hoping to have more Tribe created by the time this Olympics would start but it did not happened.

A bug was found, it should be fixed now, thanks so far for all the post about findings, as you may understand it is difficult to make is perfect especially when the thema change from the year before and little adjustment need to be made.

I am sure some of potential Tribe founders like Clan leaders are not yet aware about the transition into Tribes 2.0. I am sure it would be beneficial to send to Clan Leaders which are not yet in Tribes pm explaining difference between Clans and Tribes and that they can be at the same time in Clan and Tribe and encourage them to found new Tribes.

I cannot join Tribal tournament because 2 players from my Tribe already joined. why is this limit reduced from 3 to 2 without announcing? Also, if you limited to 2 participants per Tribe, you could also limit to 8 Tribes (first come first serve) so then we would have 16 player tournament with 2 players from each Tribe, and that could then be "real" Tribe event.
Because of that wrong information that maximum allowed number of players per Tribe is 3, the current tournament Human Catapulting is waiting for last player for already 8 or more hours. If 3 players would really allowed then I would be the last player 8 hours ago and maybe. The entire new edition of the tournament would be filled. But since that information is wrong, we are missing new edition of the tournanent for already more than 8 hours.

I see your point, and on the other hand if we are letting going sideways you end up with 3-4 players from a same Tribe in 16 players tournament like I witnessed since Friday and up to yesterday...3 players per Tribe is basically 4 Tribe out of 11 that could possibly be within the same tournament, in this case not really fair for the other 7 Tribe who are seeking a spot to play...
Edit: Not sure what do you by "wrong information"..and as far the "8hrs" then it means from 21:00 to 05:00 US eastern time...with a majority of player from the North America perhaps you need to let them waking up this morning? I've seen no members from Dys Tribe, I'm sure one of their member will join...
On top of it making so sense, the auto-tournament page only opened 1 of the 2 games. I missed first 3 turns of the other game not knowing it was active, obviously lost it. The game I played I started 2nd and won, the game that did not open I started first but of course lost b/c of the misses. Then I'd like someone to explain the tiebreaker that advanced my opponent. Games ended same round, and my win was actually quicker. I guess he joined the tournament first What a wonderful way to determine who gets a medal in a game type where most games finish in same round number.

I hear you, but does the page shows 1 game then 2 games then 1 game for the final round? I'm not trying to be an a*hole but many complaint about tournaments because player didn't read...Now as far the elimination process this has been for a while if not from the beginning of the Auto Tournament a painful choice but it has to be a winner and not sure it would be better to propose the time spend for the round, if the tournament speed gives you 3 minutes then no reason to play faster.

I totally understand it is my fault for not realizing it. It is correctly represented in the details.
That doesn't change that the design of this tournament to have 2 games in round 2 is plain stupid. Looks like it was a mistake that happened last year and was not corrected. And the second minor complaint that the auto-tournament system did not open both game pages, instead of just one. If that was corrected the missed turns would not happen.
When I said my win was "quicker" I meant that the game I won had less TURNS played then my opponent's win. Not that the time was shorter. They however were both finished in Round 3, thus it appears the system called that a tie. Even though less turns played in mine.

I've seen people playing five or more speed games at once.
That must be a player on speed
And certainly not someone plaing City Mogul 3 min where you have to attack a lot of regions after the attack mode is on.
Not every ones computer or internet are great for that. And to keep players from that tournament only because of their gear or contry doesnt seem fair.
Also having two games in round 2 and only 1 game in round 1 an 3 surely looks like an error anyway
And this is not to be a sore looser as I got to round 3. Its just an attempt to make the tournament better
I was playing from mobile and timed out on only one turn but it was pretty rushed / rough. Definitely not easy. No way I could have done two on mobile for what it's worth. Didn't get there this time so didn't matter
