Yep, this pantheon of people identifying with a Greek letter for no apparent reason have certainly caught us drinkers with our pants down.
Actually, it's more like they caught us with our pants down in a cubicle with the door open, swaying from side to side and pissing all over the floor. We'll be better in the morning. Once we wake up on the sofa with our own vomit encrusted into the fabric. A few liters of your best hangover cure and a long hot shower later and we'll start playing properly...

Isn't that your usual weekday stance?

He tries to save it for weekends only. Unfortunately the chatter on this thread has driven him to drinking a little more than usual.

We tend to have that effect on people ... it is to make everyone play on a level playing field

I would like to offer my thanks and compliments to the leadership and players of FOED.
We are engaged in some great battles, but these FOED players are not only great players...they are also gentlemen!
I know what they will probably say in jest..."The alcohol makes us a jovial bunch!
", but TOP's experience so far is that CC could use more clans like FOED!
Thank you to our opponents. You are making us better players while enjoying the company!

If leans stay the way they currently are we will have 9-11 in favor of TOP with a Philadelphia quads game very much in the air as far as I can tell. Second batch no games decided yet but it appears overall many games still even.

I would have to agree pretty much with Fyrdraca's analysis of Set 1. I would call it 12-8 in favor of TOP, but completely agree with the Philly game. I am only looking from the outside and there have already been some upsets, but one can never tell for sure.
Set 2 I have 6 games I am projecting as Wins for TOP so far....but my early projections for Set 1 were a tad bit optimistic to say the least.
One thing for sure.........anything can happen with the quality of players we both have and the predictability of those factors such as dice!
Best wishes to our opponents!

Oh, you are welcome. We always offer good company.
But, making you better players is definitely an accidental side-effect.
It's a bit like trying to create the perfect poitÃn or moonshine.
However painful it may be, we're going to keep drinking it anyway.
Eventually, in theory, we will get the formula right and be millionaires!
Unfortunately, we probably won't write it down and forget whatever the formula was in the first place.
Then, it will inevitably lead to yet another morning of slurred-speech arguing with a civil servant at the patent office...

Can somebody order me a Beamish and a Jameson? I'll be at the bar in 15 minutes...
Is it irony or coincidence that they lost on Antarctica quads in this war? I always get those two words confused.

The funny thing is your fearless leader was going to forfeit the second half games lol!! Good thing JP took over so we could have this epic battle! It looks like it will be a close one!!!

It is interesting you guys seem to continue to perserverate about the Antarctica game. You are welcome to as long as you wish. In fact...please do keep looking behind you......and enjoy the battle that has long since past....rather than engage in the war in front of you!
As for TOP...we take any loss as an incentive to win!

I'd like to thank everyone involved in the Philly quad game. It was a classic battle between great players on all sides. It truly could have gone either way, but TOP pulled through to victory!
My team didn't give up for a second even though it looked bleak for a while. Definitely one of the most fun games I've been involved with in a while.

Talking about set 2 Philly. Set 1 philly is still very much up in the air. Another great clash going on there.

Pretty well clinched at this point! Philly round 2... good persistence... could have lost this game easily, but good dice and strong positional play all the way through
