Crimson, while a great band, came on the scene after Floyd, in '69.
I wouldn't say they weren't popular. Anyone into the progressive scene of the '70's knew Crimson.
What I always found fascinating about King Crimson, were the connections to so many other quality bands:
ELP, Yes, Talking Heads, Bad Company, Genesis, & others.

I haven't heard of any of those guys, but Broken Social Scene is effing incredible.

I personally like 7/4 and Fire Eye'd Boy.

does anyone here like Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly?

Also, whos going to reading festival? lots of my favourite bands are there like
the two mentioned above along with Maximo Park, the Shins, Interpol, Bloc Party, Ash, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, The Smashing Pumpkins, Kings of Leon, The Arcade Fire, The Maccabees.

Ahhh but Floyd was led by Barrett at that time, totally different music. I always like arguing about this. :lol:

And ya, every lineup was sick...full of talent no matter what decade.

I mainly just like them for their 2 guitarists and for their drummer a little...my fav song is ashes of the wake cuz they just show off their skill and bring in 2 more soloists :D
