Awesome stuff. Particularly the mascots. Congrats.

I still don't prefer the mascots, but I probably won't play North America much anyway, so my protest is small.

Re: [Official revamp] North America
This is me bitching about the map. I don't know how the old map looked, but I just hit this one on random and was so incensed that it required a meta whiny post about how terrible it is. Sorry, natty, but blech, opinion, opinion, subjective statement, insult.

Mostly, as someone that lives in Georgia, I'm offended to be included with Alabama.

What are you talking about? Alabama is not even on the map.
Also, just so you know, I have a long-standing policy of not taking any advice for my maps from people who live in the area the map represents. People are always fine with small inaccuracies when they are necessary for gameplay/clarity/theme reasons, except when it comes to their homeland - then it's a horrible insult and travesty that needs to be fixed IMMEDIATELY.

I think he was making a semi-joke that Alabama and Georgia and lumped together as 'Georgia,' and he didn't want to associate with those from Alabama.

Yeah. I'm sort of amused by how this turned out. I actually reckoned that since this was a revamp, you didn't really have much to do with the territory drawing. People from Georgia make fun of people from Alabama, and people from Alabama make fun of Mississippi, and people from Mississippi make fun of people from Arkansas (which is weirdly lumped in with Oklahoma, nearly a different country [being silly again]).
If I were lumping Georgia and Alabama together, I would have called it piedmont or something just because it's somewhat geographically accurate without being politically relevant, plus everyone in the southeast US except for Florida lives near or can otherwise relate to the Appalachian foothills. But I can understand the policy of ignoring dumb asses like me because not everybody necessarily knows what they're talking about, and focusing too much on the specifics probably inhibits quality map making.
Geez, I was just giving you a hard time natty, Gawd.

Also, is that a cotton blossom representing us? At least give the namesake a peach instead of a nod to our weevil neighbors.

it was good for me too

It's a cherokee rose, apparently it's supposed to be the "state flower" of Georgia or something

Re: [Official revamp] North America
Heh, Neoteny = Georgiafail.
But now I'm EVEN MORE INCENSED that you would use such an archaic symbol or whatever to embarrass me in front of my kinfolk.

That update will never happen...time to move this one to the viewing gallery.

Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
And another one gone and another one gone
Another one bites the dust

The "image" in the first post looks like a big, black rectangle to me. Anyone else seeing that?

That's a left over from the foundry strike a few months back. natty obviously never got round to changing it back to the original image when it was over.
EDIT: But here it is.

Why not put this in the first post then? I'm seeing the rectangle still.

Because when I posted that, I was not a mod, but now I am, I can and have done so.
