A reporter for the UK's ITV News just returned from Damascus said conventional wisdom in Syria is that the 11 journalists who survived the explosion but were subsequently kidnapped have been tortured to death by the Pro-Democracy Peace Activists.

https://twitter.com/billneelyitv/status ... 1404837890

Meanwhile, an hour ago, one of the Pro-Democracy Peace Activists staged a suicide car bombing at the Ministry of Finance. Troops of the Syrian Arab Army were able to stop the car from entering the MoF grounds so it detonated outside. An unknown number of women and children have been killed in the Peaceful Pro-Democracy bombing.
Meanwhile, Archbishop Guiseppe Nazzaro of the Syrian Catholic Church said from Italy - where he is visiting - that Syrian Christians and Jews, who have been protected by the secular government of the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party, are under extreme threat of genocide from the Pro-Democracy Peace Activists.

One year ago this month, the head of Sephardic Jewry in the U.S. commented on the support Syrian Jews received from the Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party and how good life is in Syria under ASBP/National Front leadership.

... according to Avital, who is in close contact with officers of the Syrian government both in America and in Damascus, Assad is protecting the ancient community and has protection in place at the community’s historic synagogue.

“The Jewish community in Syria is doing well,” says Avital. It supports Assad, and considers him to be the best possible leader for them. Avital shares that sentiment.

Meanwhile, the Pro-Democracy Peace activists are fighting pitched battles against the Syrian Arab Army to capture a hospital where wounded non-extremists are being cared for; the S.A.A. is desperately trying to defend it as the Pro-Democracy Peace activists intend to murder all the people in the hospital.

#Syrian troops said rebels wr fighting 2 take large hospital on edge of #Douma. Army defended it-many of thr injured inside.

The journalist Yara Saleh was rescued five days ago by Syrian anti-terrorism commandos from the Pro-Democracy Youth Peace Activists.

Saleh was the only journalist who survived the visit of Pro-Democracy Youth Peace activists to the Al Ekhbariya TV channel earlier, all other journalists having been executed by Pro-Democracy Youth Peace Activists.

Yesterday, Saleh was interviewed by the French Voltaire Net's Thierry Meyssan about her ordeal and the reality of the ground-situation in Syria and how it differs from the Obama/Cameron/Hollande propaganda being pushed by media outlets to get western public excited for war. As part of a coordinated blackout, no western media other than Voltaire Net have covered Saleh's ordeal. She discussed how she fought off attempted rapes and was forced to veil herself in the hijab during her captivity by the Pro-Democracy Youth Peace Activists.

And then some alleged government forces shot a veteran Japanese war reporter and killed her. The bullet(s) may have been stray/random bullets, or it may be been a more deliberate target.

BTW i missed that other stuff from before - and so today, just for you, I checked Reuters' style guide - . Couldn't find any non-quoted instances of 'syrian regime' either, but i forget what the point of all that was now. I'm sure it had something to do with the global conspiracy though.

LOL, yes, because there's so much opposition in the west to the Free Syrian Army. They're definitely not the favorites of the press, public and political classes. I'm certainly just following along with the pop culture trend of hating on the Free Syrian Army and supporting the Syrian Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party and the Syrian National Front.

Anyway, that was funny - post another one.

Ah, apparently and unfortunately you misunderstood me.

Mr. Murdoch is not the only media mogul or person of influence (which includes politicians) trumpeting the wonderful Syrian rebels.

Well, it was a sarcastic post that apparently missed its mark, as I can see from the seriousness of your response. I'll be more face-palmingly obvious next time. My bad.

Your assumptions about anyone who raises their head above this parapet of self-righteousness that you have so carefully constructed here are often way off-base, but this never matters because - like troofers, in my experience - the rectitude of your version of reality extends all the way to an innate 'understanding' of what everyone else thinks or does. It's enormously narcissistic.

Having said that I did enjoy that cute thing you did (missed it last time) where you - oh my aching sides! - replaced my post with a paragraph that suggested I am an angry, overweight, bud-lite-drinking, fox-news-devouring neocon... (not completely inaccurate - I am slightly overweight, i guess :() But bud-lite drinking? seriously, wtf?

I appreciate your continuing efforts to communicate with me, however, talking louder doesn't help me understand Angry Diatribe. Like I said several posts ago, I'll try to get your rant translated. Until then, some patience is appreciated.

Sincere Regrets,

If I had banned all the people who were beating someone in an argument that were accused of trolling, there would be a lot of people banned. That's a longhand way of saying shove it.

It's a crappy way of saying that you already told me to shove it under your auspice of mod in a lot of different ways. Short of it was that as a mod, you had a very strong leaning in certain directions as to what constituted a winning argument.

You were never a neutral mod. And I fully expected the "shove it" bit once you didn't have to pretend.
