Feeling a bit touchy josko.ri, did my words hit a bit close to the bone by any chance?

Would have been happy to have another challenge on the go at the same time as the TOFU challenge. I'm sure if you ask around the right people at other top clans you will find that I've been trying to tee up another clan war for BoFM since before the TOFU challenge finished. All the "top" clans seemed a bit scared to play us(maybe thats being unfair, lets just say everyone pleaded, summer time, prior commitments, player fatigue etc). So big thanks to both OSA and The Legion for agreeing to terms with BoFM. Look forward to two challenging clan wars.
Josko.ri, I think maybe your grasp on the english language is a triffle deficient today. You've read a bit more into my post than was there. In no way suggested the lack of courage was the ONLY reason for "top" clans not joining this. I'm not going to ask you whether you feel "the rot" comment or "the coward" suggestion applied more to Kort/or yourself, as you've taken pains to point out your not speaking for kort. One of the two main thoughts in my post most definitely struck a nerve!
If you were trying to suggest that your not scared.... I have a lovely little saying to share with you. Have you heard this one before?
"The lady doth protest too much"
disclaimer - I have respect for kort as a clan, and a lot of the membership of kort are on my friends list. This is in no way an attack on kort, no matter how many exposed nerves my comments impact on. No josko.ri I'm not calling you a lady, the saying is commentary on over reactions and how much they reveal about a persons true feelings/thoughts.

I am especially scared to play vs BoFM so your words hit me direct to the bone and because of that I interrupted every your trying to face vs my clan. I am and always was the one with lack of courage so that is the main reason why I felt touchy by your comment.

DJ has limited access to a real computer, using his phone. Till the weekend. It is my understanding that he received a few pm's from clans asking for more time to discuss this/and or run a clan poll on participation in this event. So I believe that registration will be open till Sunday night UK(Greenwich mean) time.
Please don't take my word as gospel. As has been pointed out a few times already. BoFM will be taking part, and support this idea. DJ Teflon not BoFM is running this event. He happens to be in BoFM hence me having an idea of his plans for this. This is not a BoFM sponsored event, DJ is doing all the work.

Bogan has quoted from the Gospel of Non Stick almost perfectly regarding the registration extension. Although registration closes sunday midnight cc time.
I assumed everyone would be happy with a couple of days extension, which is a bit presumptuous of me.

Great job DJ for setting this up.
Fantastic idea! Really looking forward to it.
And a great opportunity for newer clans to make a name for themselves!
Good luck to everyone!
And I can't leave this alone...sorry. I know this isn't the forum for this but...
Bogan.
IMO...
No one is afraid. Summers ARE busy for a lot of people and many people are not only doing their own turns but having to sit for many friends as well.
and many of the top clans are still battling in the CC (rough luck for you guys getting stuck vs TOFU so early).
But the top 5 clans have NOTHING to gain by facing you...only something to lose.
You have to take that into consideration.
If you were in their shoes you wouldn't face you either (or us in FOED, or IA, or ID, etc..)
That's not being scared. That's just being smart!
that's why I think this ACC and the CC are such great ideas, as you do have a chance to face top flight clans who you wouldn't normally get to face.
sorry we joined late...better late than never right?!?!?
Enjoy the weekend all.
cheers

Until you pick a format where Clans can play freestyle, CLNBKY (#2) is a holdout. No dice. Will not join this Cup.

There won't be freestyle in this the same reason why there isn't fs in wars, some teams can make a fs game completely unbalanced if the other team isn't able to take their turns all at the exact same time. Less luck involved than 1 vs 1 games, more RL availability and strategy needed.
Speaking of 1 vs 1 games, how many times have you played a game where you got to go 2nd and the game was basically decided before you even hit the button? Doesn't mean you aren't a capable player, just means there is too much luck involved to say "we are the best because we won a bunch of 1 vs 1's!". Oh, there's no "we" in 1 vs 1, unless you have a babysitter...

I don't see a problem with 1v1 and team games. Baseball is a good example of a team with the majority relative to individual performances.
