the only thing I can think of (and I'm terrible at hockey history) is that it might be the guy that they named the Vezina trophy for...

the only old-timey goalie I can think of off the top of my head is Frank McCool (and I have no idea who he played for)... so that's my (bad) guess.
as far as deadline deals, the ducks did okay. I wouldn't have minded landing forsberg, of course.... even bertuzzi would've been okay.
Doesn't matter, tho. The Ducks are badass enough.

Terry Sawchuk had 103 shutouts in his career with Detroit, Boston, Toronto, L.A. and NYR.
DIRE, I'll give it to you... if I post another, it'll be hockey again, so you're up.

Yes he was. He also had the most intense scoreboard display when he came out to pitch in Pac-Bell

not a Giants fan, but I figured you'd ask a question about one of them! Here's another baseball question, this one involving my favorite team the Houston Astros:
Who did the Astros trade to the Boston Red Sox for then farm prospect and 3rd basemen (and future Hall of Famer) Jeff Bagwell?
