I find it easy to see that quebec and Angolia dont border. I do however find it hard to see wether Quebec and Eastern American Basin border or not. Also, can you find a shorter name for that, that area looks crowded.

To many straight lin borders, in some places they look fine, but in my opinion not in South America or Asia.

Also try moving North-East Antarctica and Northern Austrailian Claim so that their names dont go into the mountains.

I would really enjoy playing on this map, even though it's probably to complicated to play for my little mind!

To make a working xml is not a big problem. I'll finish the image then I'll have time to concentrate on the xml

It's the first time that I have noticed this map and I must say that I am impressed with the visuals. I think you have done a great job.

However I don't like the +2 bonus for Madagascar. Anyone who drops on it in the start will have an unfair advantage. Maybe a +1 would be better.

Also in Europe...what has happened to Italy? Has it become those mountains? Note that Kazakhstan is not in Europe...maybe you should put Georgia there instead and Britain instead of England.

A lot of times, tectonic plates that bump into each other will created mountains from the land. Italy (and spain, wonder why you didn't mention that, do you hate hispanics? Huh? I'm hispanic, you jerk) pretty much became mountains.

Jerk? I think you are an idiot and I don't care who (or what) you are. You could be a blue flying pig for all I care. :) What does it have to do with the map anyway? For your information Spain is not "Hispanic" . Spain is Spanish. Hispanics are not even a race.

Hispanic is a term coined in the US to describe people who speak Spanish and who come from mixed ethnic backgrounds. Spain was indeed called Hispania when the Romans ruled it and I guess that's where they got it from.

Here are the things that I see regarding the gameplay:

As a whole, this map has 1 medium region, 1 medium-large region, 5 large regions, and Madagascar. This breakdown is not good. I'm not sure how you envision this playing out in a typical game.

For Madagascar, I actually don't like maps with horrible horrible gameplay decided by luck not skill, so I think you should remove the +2 bonus for the person who lucks into starting with this. Now keep in mind, there are several people here in the foundry who absolutely LOVE horrible horrible gameplay decided by luck not skill, so you will have to decide for yourself how you feel about horrible horrible gameplay decided by luck and not skill and whether or not that's what you want for your map.

Africa has 14 territories and Asia has 15. You should figure out how these two regions will look 500 million years in the future, because it's going to be another 250 million years before someone can take one of these. Split them, merge territories, do something here. As they are, half the territories on your map are useless to a player.

i think u should should have different country names and continent names altogether!!

Lets go back 1000 years from 2007 to 1007 and country names where completely different and also even the languages spoken....

With this map your going forward 250 million years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lets all try and pitch in with some country names...We could call america dawg (joke)...No but serious now has anyone ever seen the new Battlestar Gallicta, we could take a few names from there like Caprica....

What do you think?? What does everyone think?

Oh great map by the way :D

I think the country names should be on region, not countries themselves. So have, say, Afro-American Mountains East instead of nigeria.

I really like this idea and I had the idea before but I think that if I give countries all new names, they must have a minimum of sense.

But I like the idea and I think that's what I will do. Giving real names to countries is way too complicated and people will alway complain about the way the borders (I know they are not at the right place) are...

For everybody who complain about the bonus, I'm working on that and I try to satisfy you all (Madagascar and Antarctica give only a bonus of one, and Oceania is a bonus of two)

Anyway, continue to send comments and give ideas and maybe weird names for the countries!

...And I'm sorry for my bad english mistakes

I am not sure if I like the idea of creating new names for this map, but if it is decided that new names is a good idea, I suggest that they remain somewhat recognizable, like the "Californian Confederation," the "Saharan Territories," the "Principalities of South Africa," the "Columbian Federation, the "Slavic Union," "The Central African States," the "East Asian Peninsula," "Old Zealand," the "Angolan Wilderness," the "Scandinavian Empire," the "Kingdom of Alaska," the "Japanese Republic," the "United States of Indonesia," the "Fiefdom of New America (i.e. somewhere in Antarctica)," the "Allied States of Britain," the "Dominion of Texas," the "Holy Republic of Arkhangel," the "German Commonwealth," the "Sultanate of Algeria," the "New Beijing Colony (i.e. somewhere in Antarctica)," the "Disputed Territories of Madagascar," the "Nomadic Tribes of Xingiang," "The Borderlands (i.e. the current territory of Mexico)," or the "Incorporated States of Argentina." Forgive me for the list, but I kind of got inspired. Feel free to mix and match names all you want.

I agree with Lt. Valerian, but I feel those names are going to be too long. You want nice short names for your territories... like KEYOGI.

I think you should give higher bonus to other continents instead of giving lower bonus for Oceania and Antartica.
I think bonus sould looks like that :
Africa: 6
Europe : 3
N. America : 4
S. America : 4
Asia : 8
Oceania : 3
Antartica : 2
Madagascar : 1

And maybe make a link between Algeria and Northen Europe because Europe just have 2 borders (but give a bonus of 4 to Europe if you do that)

how about a route from japan to new guinea...i think this might solve the bonus problems :D

Also lets all pitch in and think of one name for a country....

I was going to choose the dead lands for Iraq but i cant find one single arab country on this map.....Apart from libya!!!!!!!!

Asia already have 6 borders... and, hulmey, you want to make an other one

Just give higher bonus to other continents will solve the problem :D
