Well-written editorial -- made the points I was trying to make better than I did.
I'm surprised at the actions of the police in this case, but even more so with the actions of the library administration. This has always struck me a really bizarre position for a library to take. I'm really having a problem understanding their point of view.
I haven't done what you did, but I don't see a reason why I wouldn't do so in the future if I needed to. I simply don't see that you did anything wrong.

Boy, I'm glad that I used to live in Alaska and read still read the Anchorage Daily News online everyday. If not, I would have never heard about this site! Am addicted already.
