Unfortunately, that is a wholly Christian religious argument. That is no basis for a legal precedent. I'm sure there were pro-slavery folks in the South circa 1830-1860 using Exodus as a basis for allowing slavery.
And if you're worried about the sanctity of marriage, where's the outrage over the ability of court judges to preside over marriage ceremonies?

You didn't say it was a sin... but you did cite the Bible as being the reason you don't think it is right. It just seems hypocritical to be OK with homosexuality, which is very wrong if you take the Bible literally, but not OK with homosexual marriage because you're taking the Bible literally.

The ACLU exists to ensure that all people's maintain their freedoms as per the Constitution. Most cases where Christians are discriminated against based on their religious iconography, etc. don't go to trial. Not because the ACLU isn't interested, but because Christians don't sue. the amount of budget that goes to the american military by comparsion to other developed nations is simply a stunning statistic.
Depending on your affiliation the money would certainly go to different places, but can you imagine what would be done if so much of the budget didnt go to the military
