Its fun to back jay into a corner when he says "it's all about faith".
I met a guy the other day who refused to say the bible *may* be wrong in some places. What an arrogant delusional bastard.

I refuse to say the world "may" be unfair in some places,
Everything is perfect just the way god wants it...
and this is where I give him the finger....

I had scripture today in Science (Coincedience, really, to have a Bible class in Science)
The Scripture teacher asked this.
Do you believe in God.
10 people said yes.
1 person said no
9 people said not sure.
I was the only person in my class to say no. I was surprised, almost.

Blue, obviously.

Why would the red be disturbing?

I'm without religion (atheist), although not one of the militant types. I really couldn't care less about what other people believe ...

No I'm not, I don't believe there is a god. I just wouldn't call that a religion, it is a complete lack of one.

Well, I'm not sure that I do have a religon.
But when I feel that no one can help me, or very very sad (which is nearlly never) I sometimes do pray to the sky.
I don't know what to expect, something to speak back, happiness, all my problems solved, but somehow it made me feel calmer, don't ask me why, it just does.

That's natural. Because you feel comforted that you are actually being watched over by something not comprehendable of the human mind, and in most probable views, it's just a comfort. Nothing actually is watching over us, it's a physcological thing.

Agnostic is where you believe in god, except you think that it is impossible to know anything about this god.
BTW I'm a naturalist - everything has a scientific explanation.

I worship egg cartons. I have a shrine of them in my living room. I make them into capterpillars with brightly colored pipe cleaners, googly eyes, and elmers glue....for one day they shall need legs to crawl when they bring salvation. Then the mighty egg cartons shall prevail!! they will battle the terrible plastic milk gallon bottles to the end. And when all seems lost...the caterpillars shall turn into beautiful egg catron butterflies and defeat the milk jugs!! Then they will rule for 20,000 years of peace........until the dreaded pine cones finally rise up and destroy the earth......

b.k i was actually curious if you have a specific religious orientation what it might be....usually if someone says it somewhere its pretty easy to pick up on, but i dont recall you doing so and i havent really picked up on it from reading a variety of your posts.

Out of all the religious books i have read, the only one i would take seriously is the Bible. I know of no organized religion that follows it, so i don't bother with any organized religion. I don't follow the teachings of the Bible, so i don't call myself a "Christian", although i see a lot of the "Jesus Freaks" on this site that have no problem with such a contradiction.

I'm probably a mix of Taoism, Gaian, and Shinto. And I believe the soul is split into 3 parts the shadow, persona, and self - shadow is a person's more animalistc side. persona - A person's "public image". And self - what someone is really like.

Me, I'm Roman Catholic. I study my faith as much as I can and the history of it. Oh by the way, just to add a little bit, Roman Catholic from Ireland (ancestors) and my family has been for at the very least, 1000 years.

Sikh huh. I don't too much about it but from what i know it seems like a peaceful religion. I watched a tv show where the host went to a Sikh temple, they fed everyone who came all day long for free. which i thought was pretty cool.
How are women treated in your faith?
I am Agnostic. It would be nice if there was a God, but i have'nt been made aware of one yet.
There are probably levels of Gods, one creatures God is anothers creation.

As stated before, I am a christian (note how I almost never capitalize this word). I go to Life Center Church (check it out at [name, all one word].net) and we consider ourselves non-demominational, although we would be considered by others to be pentacostal-ish.
