why would there be mountains next to a crack. mabey if the crack broke through the mountian but it dosnt seem like it is doing that on the Triage boarder. You should either make it all a crack or not. And there are no crack in the iddle of africa anyway?

Also the wording at the bottom say "revert to 1 neutral and the end of your turn" do you mean "at the end of your turn"

I don't really see the problem with the mountains above Triage as I think that could occur. However i very much agree with their being no cracks in the middle of africa etc, and they should be on the borders between countries. I noted that mistake after i had drawn them, but no one seemed to mind. I will probably re draw the impassable's again to put the cracks in replace where many of the rivers are on continent borders. I also feel the need to make the mountains look better, more like the ones above Triage.

How goes this, declan? It would be unfortunate to see this map binned, as you've got quite a talent for mapmaking

Apparently declan hasn't been on CC since 19.2.

any sign of the next version, declan? this is very close indeed to moving, either to the graphics workshop or to the recycling bin.
the bonus zones are well thought-out, with a mix of large and small bonuses linked by the canoes, which provide remote assault lines to balance the map by keeping in check those areas at the edge of the map. the basic layout is good to go.
Victor Sullivan wrote:5. Bonus Changes:

6. There should be a canoe on Travi - just seems like a common sense thing to me.
the travi canoe has been added, so the central africa bonus also needs to increase to +6.
south africa is arguably a +5 rather than a +4 because all 5 regions must be defended to make it safe. +4 also works though.

I agree with you, ian, I think South Africa should be bumped up to +5, given Antarctica is +5 with 4 borders and 7 territories.

After a fortnightly review, I noticed there hasn't been an update for sometime. So, come the next fortnightly review, if there isn't an update made, we will have to move into the Recycling Bin until the mapmaker makes an update.

Sorry I'm late to the discussion... awesome map! The first thing I noticed is that it is confusing that the dinosaurs are mentioned in the map but not incorporated into the gameplay. Just from reading "be careful of the dinos" I expected there to be a -1 auto or something.
Maybe a nice way of incorporating them into the map a bit more without introducing some funky gameplay would be to make one of the impassibles a big T-rex!

I'm said to see this map seemingly abandoned. I've wanted to play on a Dino themed map for a long while!

I'd be willing to pick this thing up if someone could get it into graphics.

[
Moved]
It would appear that development of this map has stalled. If the mapmaker wants to continue with the map, then one of the Foundry Moderators will be able to help put the thread back into the Foundry system,
after an update has been made.

Hey all, I am now prepared to work on this map again.
I have made a version 8 with a few of the changes suggested:
spelling
region bonuses
graphics (mountains and other little things)
I have also made a version with an alternate idea. The places marked with an X will always start with neutral because they are populated with dinosaurs. This is to incorporate dinosaurs into the gameplay. This is not necessarily where the X's would be placed either, just giving you an idea. I was thinking having maybe 5-10 neutral to make it harder to capture, but thought that it might disrupt the balance to much. So tell me what you think.

YAY! I am so glad to see this back in the foundry! That's awesome.
As for the X dinosaur idea, I think it's a little un necessary. I wouldn't bother with it.

Glad its back, but leave the X's out of it. TBK is so right, totally unnecessary.
