The only problems I could see is that the developmental atlas seems to be missing a lot of maps that are in development. One of the things that seems to be a prerequisite to getting you map on the atlas is for Andy to personally like the map. I don’t think there is any possibility to get your map forged if you aren’t even listed on the atlas. Getting a few people to look over the maps officially could help. There are historic maps, world geography maps, fantasy maps, and abstract maps and I don’t that there is any one who likes all of these. Having a couple people in official capacity would allow for people with varying tastes to look over the maps and possibly make it a little more objective.

You have a point on this one. Never thought of it that way.

It's not, I just haven't updated it. You'll understand why in one my next announcements for the Foundry.

I wasn't referring to the developmental atlas but to the second part of his email. What he said kind of makes sense to me much more than all that the others have written.

Well I’m patent enough; we’ll see what’s up when that announcement comes out.

the announcement has been made. Look at the top thread of the foundry.

something like that, what do u think?

No offense to any of those people, but I don't think any of them should be listed for "gameplay." The only person aside from myself and Andy that has an excellent understanding of how changes to territories/borders/regions/bonuses will play out in a real game is Marvaddin, and I haven't seen him post here in a while.

I shouldnt even be on that list to start with.
Samus, I dont think there is any point talking yourself up either. I doubt Andy is going to add anyone else to his list of helpers.

And just out of interest, what makes you such an expert on gameplay? What makes you better than people that have been around for many more months than you?

I'm not looking for a position, and I don't think Andy would give it to me if I wanted it. And he shouldn't because you're right, I haven't been around nearly as long as others.

I don't think I do anything that's all that brilliant to analyze the gameplay. I just approach every map considering different ways I (or my team) could be deployed onto it, and how we would try to play it out. Most people here only think about the visuals, I don't really see them imagining themselves playing on it. At least that's my impression.

I guess my answer is that I don't consider myself "more qualified" than others, it's just what I think about, while others think about other stuff.

Heh, thanks hulmey. I would never play the "rating" card because that's pretty lame. Me having a high rating doesn't make what I say any more right or wrong, and having a lower rating certainly doesn't invalidate the opinions of anyone else.

I'm not normally such a braggart, but honesty is very important to me. If I think I'm good at something, that's what I'll say. I rather regret how that makes me come across sometimes, but concealing what I think to improve people's perception of me is just a clever way of being vain.

Noted Samus, however you must have a good tactical grasp of CC to be a Colonel after 100 games :)
