Yeah, but both of those dicks had no problem sending armed men on horses to break up the families in the bonus camps in Washington DC after WWI. All the families wanted was the bonus they deserved for serving in the military in WWI.

Chiang Kai-Shek and Mao Zedong were both pretty "badass". Probably more than 20+million people died under their leaderships, mostly from political persecution (Chiang) or starvation (Mao).
Hendrik Verwoerd was also pretty badass, mainly for expanding Apartheid policies and increasing crackdown on resistance against the regime.

He kind of disappeared after the Russians pulled out of WWI. Just for that, and not continuing to make a name for himself, he gets knocked off the list.

BTW the "one of the best clerks" remark was from MacArthur not Patton which Eisenhower later retorted "I spent seven years under MacArthur studying dramatics."

So being a West Point grad makes one a badass? Lol. Didja know they have wimminz now that graduate from West Point? They're all badasses too amirite?

You don't get to be a 5 star general by being a badass - you get there by being an astute politician who instinctively knows which asses to kiss.

Oh snap! Silly me - i forgot that being a WWI vet made you an automatic badass. I guess we had a world full of badasses back then. Lol. And of course being a US president makes you a badass - that's why Obama's one of my heroes. ROTFLMAO!

He disapeared before russia pulled out, and it was because he was poisoned, stabed, clubbed and finally drowned.

In a time when a Black man could be killed for just looking the wrong way at a white man, Johnson was beating the shit out of the best of them. Imagine yourself in a ring with someone trying to put your lights out while the whole fooking stadium is screaming hate at you. Johnson didn't just beat his opponents, he laughed at them while he was doing it. "Hey Mr. Jim, gonna punch you in yo face - you ready?" <BAP!> "Aw Mr. Jim, that sho do hurt now, don't it? Here it come again" <BAP> Lol.

Not only did he beat up their idols, he took their wimminz. Johnson only dated and married white wimminz - this in a day and age when black men were lynched for just looking at a white woman instead of averting their eyes. He'd parade them around in public, sometimes with a woman on each arm. Always smiling and laughing - didn't have to act bad, as he was the fooking epitomy of the word.

Granted... very much a Badass...

but what about John L. Sullivan (a Boston Boy BTW)... he went 75 Rounds to win the "World Championship".

what about Rocky Marciano (a Massachusetts Boy BTW)... the only modern heavyweight to retire undefeated.

While impressive, neither of those feats come anywhere near the quoted bit in terms of badassery.

whoa, can I suggest a possible correction?

this in a day and age when black men were lynched for just looking at a white woman
...only in certain places, most notably the south.

Mind you 150 years earlier, black men and women made up 15% of Boston's population, and were serving in gov't and the militias as free men. I do not know about interracial dating and what not....

Yeah and in Africa some of them were chiefs and kings at that time. So? My statement remains without correction - during the time that Johnson lived there were black men in the US that were lynched for just looking at a white woman.

He got what he deserved, and so did the tsarina a little later. If you want a russian bad ass from that war it should be Brusilov.

Btw, leonidas definitely deserves some credit too, the spartans knew they were gonna die before they even left home.

Yes, now there was a badass. Loved his family, and killed the sobs that threatened it as long as he could.

No shit. Battle of Thermopylae, 300 of those guys and and about 7000 militia/conscripted Greeks from all over the place. The Spartans were the anchor force and held back an army of 250,000 for 3 days. And even though those 300 fell, a year later when the Persians faced 5000 or so, they practically took a shit in their pants right there.
