Right now, bottled water is less highly regulated than your drinking water. AND remember, we are talking about profit-making companies, so by rights they ought to be taxes to pay for this supervision.
That's kind of my point Player. Tap water meets rigorous health standards and bottled water doesn't. IMO bottled water also tastes worse. The only reason companies can sell it is because they will claim it's "fresh from the source" or whatnot and people will assume that it's a good thing compared with the presumably "dirty" tap water. Public awareness is all that's needed.

something is still better than nothing. not to mention they are cuts number 31, 32, and 33, although cutting the DEA might overlap with legalizing marijuana as another pothead poster had suggested....

USA was #1 in education before federal funding. Lets just cut the board of education completely.
The bigger the BOE, the worse America's education is. total fact. anyone have a problem with my statement? bring a BOE track record with you. (no Canadians)

This is a wonderful example of looking at only part of the situation. Yes, the USA used to be #1 in education, and that the USA has gone downhill in that regard since. However, this has far more to do with other countries pouring money INTO education than it does with the the education in the USA going down. Other nations have simply stepped up their efforts, and they've done so in more effective ways than we have, exponentially improving their systems largely because they had so much more room to grow.
I strongly recommend the movie Two Million Minutes, which follows the high school educations of two pretty average American students, two pretty average Indian students and two pretty average Chinese students. A fascinating video.

That's kind of interesting that you assume poor people live near highways. In and around Philadelphia and the South Jersey area, the rich people live near the highways and have the sound barriers. So, maybe you wanted to say f*ck the rich people who live near a freeway.

Sorry. I didn't mean "poor", as in financially. More like, "those poor people. having to deal with the noise of a freeway 24 hours a day must suck donkey balls."
I'd bet that if the noise barriers weren't there, you would see more of the poor (financially) people living near the freeway, though.

i mean for real,do kids really have to have a 10 mil$ gym to play in,or 10 band new computers

think not......schools are more focused on sports, just look at the collages, what a joke,no wonder other countrys laugh at us,and can yu blame them.Maybe obama will give them some hope since the last party forgot about them.
Or even better blame texas also since they pretty much control what the kids learn these days

Dude, seriously, how partisan are you? I guess education was stellar under President Clinton? Care to comment on that or are you just going to complain about how GW Bush ruined public education in the US? Jeez man.
That being said, I do agree on the emphasis of sports over education (a cultural thing more than anything else I think). Don't want to get in a "what's wrong with US education debate" here though.
