This is what happens to me.. If I press mark all chat as read, it does.. until I load any page, then everything is unread again

I downloaded this script tonight, and that is what it has done to me.

Not sure why.

Because it's a bug. :) Ok - I am ready to start making script updates again. I will fix this within the next few days and get a new version out.

Thanks for the patience from everyone I PM'd to say that it would be a little while before I made any updates.

UPDATE!

1.6.3

- Fixed 'Mark All Chat as Read' bug
- Fixed bug that didn't allow users to enter chat in games in which they weren't playing
- ADDED FEATURE: in chatglove options users now can set the "chatsniff" interval to search for new game chat every page load, every 1 minute, or every 5 mintues

dwilhelmi wrote:This script does not seem to play well with Chrome - all of my games always say that there is a new chat, even if I try to mark all as read, and any options, including the one to turn off chatsniffer, do not save once I leave the current page. Any chance of getting this compatible with Chrome at some point? The script looks awesome, and I would love to be able to use it.

Hi dwilhelmi - unfortunately, I don't have plans right now to make this compatible with Chrome. :(

Hmmm, something wonky with the update, I have a game that's marked with new chat, but even after looking at said game it's still marked...

I had a few games marked with new chat. Opened all of them and looked, there was no new chat. A few minutes later they are all marked with new chat again. Seems to be similar to the mark all read bug from before except now even going to the game does not clear it.

ps - when I hit mark all read it seems to work now.

*EDIT - spoke too soon. The mark all read still has the bug as well.

Is it continuing to do that? If so, what is the game number? Or did it just happen initially?

Looks like it's any game that has new chat in it (even my own, which didn't use to get marked), and the new chat is persistent, and mark all as read doesn't work... Sorry, foxy,I think you broke it.

Foxglove!

If you don't fix this now, I'm gonna make you log into my account every 5 minutes or however long it takes for chatglove to reload, look at every single one of my games and then text me when I have new chat!

Haaaaa, AoG - sure, send me your phone number and password, and I will be your personal chat notifier!

-------------------------------------

In other news, I've made another update. I didn't update the version number so you won't see a flashing update notice, but if anyone would like to get the latest version and let me know if it works any better, please do so!

Thanks everyone.

Ok, everyone - the latest update seems to be working as designed for the majority of users, so I updated the version check so people will be prompted to update to the newest version.

I am aware that for a few people the chatsniffer seems hopelessly broken - I think this is some weird browser/environment issue. I'm working on figuring it out. Sorry for the hassle!

All I have is 'GAME CHAT [##]' in the GAME MENU. No indication on any of the games.

If it helps to sort the problem, I'm using;

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-GB; rv:1.9.2.8 ) Gecko/20100722 Firefox/3.6.8 GTB7.1 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)

on Vista Home

all CC scripts are up to date.

Not a big deal, but a bit wierd. It seems after the last update chatglove disappeared off of both of my computers? Can't really think of a reason why, but I reinstalled and it's working again...
